One thing for sure about young Mr. Deegan besides being a class act who always has time for the kids. He is a sponge for learning the secrets of speed from the best riders he can access. Being able to immediately apply and prove that knowledge with a stopwatch is super impressive . He's always had a WFO riding style but his collaborations with past champions the last couple of years has added patience, flow and even some on demand beast mode to it. If he can stay healthy his "style" should evolve into potentially one of the greats!
Look at where Haiden Deegan is on the bike, when he is landing. He is virtually sitting on the back guard. He jumps like old school BMX. How far rearwood has he set his pegs, He just seems to hang out over the back of the bike more than anyone else 17:26
I admit. I always pulled for James. I'm pulling for Reed now. Pulling for his kids. He's a good guy. He's a great parent. Really proud of Chad Reed. He proved me wrong. Nothing but great wishes for the Reeds!! 💗
Great video. Yes sir. Haiden rides hard. He’s cut from a different cloth. Thanks for allowing us in on what you guys and gals get to experience. Luke 9:62
What fantastic parents! You guys are so smart about racing but also teaching!!!! I would have loved to had that kind of support and knowledge at thier age!!!!
The coolest thing about sand training is that a young rider gets to experience the rewards of carrying speed and maximum aggression. Great job 22 Crew.
I think it's beautiful what you're doing. No matter what Sport you are into or what Family activity everybody enjoys having the entire family there adds to the experience in ways that no one will ever forget. My father coached all of his children in soccer and even brought us some championships and being guided by him one hundred percent added to the experience.
Your family and the deegan family are my favorite familys to watch all the videos and respect for your time and help for not just your beautiful kids but giving TO Hayden is priceless God bless you all I love you all thank you for letting me be a part of your life God bless you all from the bay area California Larry VanBruntjr 🎉
Deegan has a riding style that will fit the 450 better!!! Deegan, Jett, Hunter and Sexton in 2026 is going to be the most hyped MX Season I could think of since RC4, JS7 and Mr CR22!!!!!!!! 🤘💪
Don’t forget jcoop as well. Will also have Vialle and Prado who are definitely going to be good, especially Prado. 450 class is going to be stacked the next 5-8 years
I honestly forgot all about Prado! He'll have a year to know the tracks before Deegan rides 2026 MX. Jcoop is fast, but I'll be shocked if he wins more than 3 450 MX races in his career. He'll probably win from a weed fest, or top guys are out. I don't think Tom's style will translate over to a 450. He needs to put 15 pounds of muscle on him and not fade late in the Motos. Hard to add that weight and keep better stamina than he has now. 🤔🤷♂️🤘
Love love love this channel ..watched you at farleigh uk doing world vets .was just amazed that you were there .seeing u ride was spectacular.you have always looks the 🐕 🥜 your kit the bike always been sick .was amazed how good you looked on the bike even in park ferme
From what I hear deeds is very coachable he literally soaks all the knowledge from the top dogs like he said on the podium he wants to learn and he says that word a lot guys like Webb Tomac krock must be proud just cause he picks things up very quickly and also you too Chad you must be proud too. Personally I think Deegan has your grit. I always loved your grit back in the day battling RC and Stewart ! Tate looks good on that 250 I think it’s gonna give him more confidence 😊😊 god bless and I hope you read my babble lol 😂
Great job parenting, you make it more realistic. its so difficult to get kids challenged and have fun at the same time. Then you look back and realize hoy much youve learned in the process. The grind is tough!
We need to get Chad on JRE! Reach a good audience WITH the perfect messenger like Chad Reed himself. Soft spoken, knows the sport in and out, can well articulate MX/SX for a broader audience and most important passion and love for the sport.
Chad threw Tate into the deep end riding with Haiden!! It would be hard to argue that Haiden didn't show what proper prep entering the pro ranks looks like. Kiah continues to pack on skills heading to The Ranch. Chad added a lil sand speed to the current lites class points leader, judging by the results.
Great video and you always throw in some nuggets of great advice about riding for us all. Entertaining and educational. Your advice is simple, clear, and to the point. Lots of tips that you don't hear in the traditional motocross training vids.
Interesting point you bring up. I started to realize that the faster I could go, the advice from others changed as did the suspension. Things that used to work, became useless and didn't apply anymore. This seems to happen all the way through that journey, so it's good to teach your kids that early. I learned to ride in the sand, and it is definitely a great way to start the sport because it really does round out your experience and it is also a sort of prep for mud racing. Strange things happen to a bike under power on sand, and the same is true for mud. I did crave the hard packed tracks because it seemed to be nice to have lines that didn't change so often, and lips that stayed consistent, but I was out of my element the few times I raced on blue grove. I loved the WFO style needed to go fast in the sand. I was naive to ever think that MX or SX tracks could have rubber on some spots so when I first saw that one day, I was surprised because I had never thought of that. Anyway, good vid and your humble attitude is a refreshing addition to your input. I think each generation seems to get better, so it can be hard to teach a kid like Hayden who is so far ahead of most when it comes to doing whatever has to be done to win. I agree with what you said about the top guys. Most of the top 10 are extremely fast, but people like yourself, RC, MC and Bubba are the exception to the rule and just have that something extra in their heart to go the extra to make it happen. You came into the USA scene at a time where we had the best, MC dominating the sport, and RC and Bubba showing they were the next super talent, but still you came here and did an exceptional job of showing how bad you wanted it, even while surrounded by the Worlds best in SX and MX in your classes at that time. That's a heck of a way to get started here. Still, you won races and championships during that same time, which is a stunning feat to pull off so kudos to you. Your style was very smooth and precise and far from reckless, and it paid off. You reminded me of MC because of your precision, but you surprised me outdoors and also won a championship out there. Considering the timing of those wins, you did something very special and extremely unlikely, so I hope your children are fully aware of who's training them. It's hard when they are young, but as they grow up, they will start to realize the benefit of having you as their trainer. I would also expect all this work to pay off once its time to go to the higher levels. It looked to me in this little 2 part video that they both got a good bit faster the 2nd day. I also saw them both pulling wheelies over things and even over-jumping some landings like Hayden. I used to spend hours and hours watching the top guys in slo-mo, trying to pick up everything I could to get faster, so Im sure this experience was awesome for them. Not too many youths get to ride with the top guys in the sport, so what a cool gift to have Hayden out there with them. Anway, having a flashback now so I better go, or I'll write a book. lol Appreciate the video, and the storys of the past. It helps us to re-live that time once again. I miss it terribly, but it's cool to have several options like this to keep up with the current racing World. God Bless You.
I should have added how lucky Hayden is to have a couple of days to spend with you. It's a win/win I'd say. He sure did a good job at Southwick, and a lot of what I see in these last 2 videos were applied at the wick.
What a great opportunity to get to help Hayden handle Sand I always been a chad Reed fan and I am a Hayden deegan fan that's a one in a lifetime dream to be with the two greats out on the Sand track I wish I could have the great Chance to meet the reed's and the deegan family's 38 22 number 1 All the way love and respect to you both from the Bay area California Larry vanbrunt Jr.
The great late Rush drummer Neil Peart at the height of his career took a drum lesson from a world renowned jazz drummer Freddie Gruber I believe. In the Rush documentary Freddie was interviewed about the lesson. Freddie simply said that Neil was already a great drummer and close to technically perfect. You would have to watch the documentary but Freddie basically just gave him some pointers on not looking like he was trying to be technically perfect and they worked on moving the drum sticks in the air and never really even touched the drum kit. I have it in my head that was what Chad prolly did for Deegan…..
To be honest I was very critical of Hayden and his semi entitled attitude, that was exemplified when he was taking his feelings out in other riders after making mistakes, but in recent rounds he's been riding impressive and keeping his head down and working, you have to respect it.
I remember chad from his first boost mobile supercross races....with wins. Being talked about...they showed chad an brought up Chad is the king of podiums....he has some crazy number.. That say a lot because podiums are a mark of consistrncy an that wins championships
Tate needs to watch and learn hopefully he gonna race people just as fast as haiden one day in mx and sx or let's not forget smx now lol Chad + miss 22 great work with kids and DEEGAN
Sand can be tough, when I first started racing sand at ECMX I would crash 5 times a moto and have to repass the same people over and over it’s the only time I have cried out of frustration over motocross. Then one day I went out for Saturday practice and it felt like I never let off the throttle and from that day forward it was my favorite track and I dominated many races there after that.
I dont know what u told Haiden ur strong just hammer southwick like Jeffery Herlings would he did an thats what he looked like Herlings is brute force attack...one day haiden will get the southwick hop an sand whoop rtythm down...but in the mean time the Herlings method work great...if thats what u told him...jk
Not sure what happened but what a dumb move by WSX to fire Chad, or Atleast that’s the rumor going around that he was fired. Not sure why you would let a legend of the sport and also a great businessman with so much knowledge in this sport go. Screw em!

Chad, your advice to Haiden paid off for Southwick

It would appear that your training session was time well spent for the young man. He CRUSHED IT!

Awesome vlog nicely done! Love seeing the Reeds and Deegs train and have fun together! 🔥❤️
man i love all this good wisdom from mom n dad!! they have been through it. ALL of it. GPs SX MX listen up kids!!!
Great video. Thanks !!! God bless the Reeds and Deegans !!!

Chad you remind me of Gary and David Bailey. I attended their MX school in Axton VA years ago . You make a solid mentor for sure.
Lake sugar tree was the best. The baileys are awesome. Good times.
@@SoleAddictions Agreed. Very nice Family for sure.

I will come back to this video in one year and see how far Tate has progressed and I have a feeling he's going to be able to match or even beat Chad.
Let’s do it 👍🏽❤️
Haiden did crush the Wick! Much respect for helping Danger Boy!

Hard to believe a couple years ago all the kids were riding the trails together
Duff the great guy he always is first man in
I grew up riding sand in the pine barons of NJ I was taught keep front end light and always on the gas or steady throttle
Family man that's what it's all about

They need to have a legends race every year with all the old guys at the final smx round.
