    Excellent video, thanks for sharing. I have a question. What is the main difference between XRv Demo and XRv9k?

    Hello Rafael!
    When I type the unl wrappers...line it doesnt output any message like "check state" It just returns to prompt.
    Also I can add xrv9k router, but when I click start it do starts but the router stops (turn into grey) few seconds after. Anyone facing this can give me any help?

      hey ! thats what i see when i do "fix permissions" is it going back to prompt. As long as there is no error displayed i think its okay. Hmm I've seen that before when running amd cpu and after switching to intel it worked. What kind of cpu do you have? Not saying thats the problem but just curious.

    Hello.
    That video was a big help. I have an additional question.
    I want to connect multiple ASRs instead of just one ASR.
    (e.g. 6 or more)
    However, eve-ng can only use 64GB of RAM.
    How can I drive multiple ASRs?

      Hey, so the IOS XRv9000's are heavy hitters for sure, have you tried just using the IOS XRv ? I think they use a bit less RAM on each router so you can have more nodes. I'm not sure exactly the difference in features but it may be a solution. Thanks for watching, much appreciated!

    Hi Rafael, i have an issue unable to start xrv9k. It starts only for 5 seconds, then stops. I have no issue with xrv, csr or other images.
    Do you have any idea what is going on?

    • @NetworkEngineerPro
      @NetworkEngineerPro  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hmm. I know they are more resource heavy than the xrv's. Do you have enough memory to run them ?

    I did all that with a Catalyst 8000v. The folder is cat8000v- 17.06.2 and the file name is virtioa.qcow2 exactly as the documentation says, but its still greyed out

    • @NetworkEngineerPro
      @NetworkEngineerPro  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Is the folder name just as you have it here ? "cat8000v- 17.06.2" i think there is a space there that might be the problem. I set up 8kv today version 17.06.01a with these steps www.eve-ng.net/index.php/documentation/howtos/catalyst-8000v/ and it worked for me.

    Hi Rafael, I've tried to upload ios-xrv9000 using AMD as a processor. It does not work. I just receive an error message "acpi error"?

      Hey! I know someone that had issues using AMD, it was related to getting images to fully boot. Switching to intel fixed it. looks like some AMD chips are supported, not sure what you have.
      EVE-NG CE and PE Supported platforms and systems:
      Intel CPU VT-x/EPT
      One of the following:
      Ubuntu Focal Fossa 20.04.X LTS 64bit Server as OS for EVE.
      VMware ESXi 6.7 or later
      VMware Workstation 15.0 or later
      VMware Fusion 8 or later
      VMware Player 15.0 or later
      Google Cloud platform VM
      AMD Ryzen 3900, the newer AMD EPYC should work as well. Please consult to EVE support for CPU tune before use. Older series AMD can have issues

    Hi, Rafael. Your videos are incredibly helpful, a friend of mind who knows you recommended me to watch them. I have a quick question for you: are you sure the images of XRv and XRv9000 are included in CML 2.1? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!!!

    • @NetworkEngineerPro
      @NetworkEngineerPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jose, that's awesome and thanks a ton it means a lot. So yea once you purchase the CML license you have access to an ISO called "ref_plat" or something similar. Once you open it you will see a few linux images and some cisco ones like routers/switches, ASA firewalls, IOS XRv and XRv9000, NXOS and a CSR1000v. And they all work in EVE-NG. Hope that helps.

    Hi mate, can you share the IOS XRv and XRv 9000 file? I don't have any of those in my local computer.

    • @NetworkEngineerPro
      @NetworkEngineerPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the images i have i got from buying the Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) license. Unfortunately sharing it would violate the terms. If you have a cisco acct with the right privileges you might be able to download that specific image if it lets you. Im sure people are sharing them online if you search but its kind of a gray area. Your call though.

    • @alonsocastillogonzalez7221
      @alonsocastillogonzalez7221 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! If I buy Cisco CML, I can have access to the image? Do you recommend personal lab version?
      I’m installing the image in google cloud but when the device is starting show the message “no bootable device” error. Do you know hoy to fix that?

    • @NetworkEngineerPro
      @NetworkEngineerPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alonsocastillogonzalez7221 yea buying CML gets you access to their CML VM which is like the EVE-NG equivilent for 1 year. But buying the CML once also gets you access to an additional file that contains a few different device images. You have access to those images for life. I just put them in EVE-NG. Yes personal version is all you need. Hope that helps.
