This video and the accompanying music actually brought tears to my eyes....I still can't believe they've literally torn the circle to the ground and all the happiness this place brought to so many for so long generation after generation
Havent been their in over 15 years and its heartbreaking to see all the changes that has happened since I was a teenager and spent all my free time fishing off the end of Oceana pier.. A lady by the name of Diane taught me everything about pier fishing when I was 18 and any time I see anything on this place it brings back a lot of memories of some great people and times in my life!
My wife and I were kids with a 5 year old stayed at the wind Jammer inn 1987. We visited old fort Macon , iron steamer pier, and aquarium which at that time was all free to public. We ate at Otises fish camp the sanitary restaurant shopped at the old food lion, and ate biscuits at Hardees across the road. took our son to jungleland had grate time.still married she grew up in pine tops so we visited often . We miss the way it was.............
Jimmy this is a good video and thank you for making it. It needs to be done. I left the group on FB. To many people living in a plastic bubble in make believe..
Sad what ELECTED officials have done to this beach. "The CIRCLE" should have been an historical landmark. NOT SOLD FOR PROFIT. I actually saw one of the righteous members of the town council walking down the beach right by some trash left there. She kept walking and never gave it a thought to pic it up. Looking back I wish now I would have shot video of this.

Bravo, J.C. The saddest/funniest shit I've seen in a while. The music - 😂.
A sealed tuna sandwich 😣.
So, they haven't started "The Grove" project yet? It's a huge multimillion dollar real-state project that suppose to bring new life into the Circle.
