Wow.. This is a trip down memory lane. Its an amazing throwback. Yes indeed. This video shown was 3yrs ago. Now its already 16 October 2022. Thanx and congratulations PM Lee Hsien Loong for this video share to us all. 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬⚡⚡🙏🙏
This dialoque took place on 10 October 2019. Just a month before the early stage of the pandemic as it was reported that the early stage of Pandemic was in 17 November 2019. Wow.. This was really an excellent trip down memory lane. An amazing throwback.. 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬🙏🙏🙏⚡⚡⚡
It's amazing! Indeed, a leader one cut (or many cuts) above other world leaders is his/her grasp of world events and a critical analytical mind of what's happening on multiple levels.
Singapore has attracted many Japanese MNCs to establish OHQ here over the years. One neighbouring premier ask a Japanese MNC president when visiting the country why have OHQ in Singapore. He said, "We can give land to build your HQ and more factories and even call the main road leading to the office, Jalan Panasonic". Why not shifted your OHQ here? We can match what Singapore gave you".
after viewing pm lee both interviews in US and here, i never realise his ground knowledge is so well, if questions are not pre submitted before interview, this is perfect
You should try other Singaporean ministers/officials, like tharman shanmugaratnam and kishore mahbubani. They all speak words of wisdom and logic, so grounded and pragmatic. This speaks of Singapore's success, meritocracy and exceptionalism.
He has always been very knowledgeable and outspoken, though sometimes a little too candid... LHL sometimes comes across more like a professor, knowledgeable and philosophical on many things, even stuff like IT and technology. It's very rare to have PM who has a firm grasp on the intricacies of the topics they talk about.
On the question of Singaporeans not having learnt to discard their cigarette butts. What would the Singapore government do to improve the situation? I don't think we're improving; we're in fact regressing - more and more cigarette butts can be seen everywhere, from Pasir Ris to Punggol, to areas in town!

There were two Japanese Technical institutions before 2000, i.e. JSTI and JSIST.
