In this video of Living the Jo life, we go on a tuk tuk food tour around Bangkok. At the first stop, we tried some food from Eastern Thailand. We had Pad Thai and mango with sticky rice along Banthat Thong Road. We also visited Chinatown and Bangkok’s largest flower market. We had an amazing noodle dish at a Michelin-recognized restaurant with a very unique open-air kitchen. We finished off the food tour with a drink at the Eagle Nest Rooftop Bar overlooking the Grand Place in one direction and Wat Arun and the Chao Phraya River in the other direction. We can definitely recommend this tour with Bangkok Food Tours.

Very interesting...Thanks for this one...Loved all the lights and the hustle and bustle and the sights...I guess that is going on every night. All the lights and interesting buildings are really worth seeing. Those Tuk Tuks are so cute. Its was nice having that Lady Tuk Tuk driver who took you all around in the Tuk Tuks joining in and showing all the places she took you to. She would know from driving around there in her Tuk Tuk all the time which places were the best places for you to be took to in her Tuk Tuks. Very pleasant ...Loved it.
It was such a fun tour! We had a great time scooting around in the tuk tuk. Amazing the hustle and bustle. It really is a city that never closes. Definitely a sensory over load. Thanks for watching 😊

Legend states that when King Taksin, at the time Ayutthaya mandarin, led some troops to break the Burmese siege of Ayutthaya and arrived at this old temple at dawn, so the temple was then named Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). After Ayutthaya fell after one-year siege, he led troops from Chanthaburi province to expel the occupied Burmese troops in Ayutthaya. Then he proclaimed himself King and moved the capital from Ayutthaya to Thonburi and built a royal palace adjacent to Wat Arun and this temple then became the Royal Temple within the Palace domain in line with Ayutthaya tradition. The same could be said about King Rama I when he moved the capital from Thonburi across the Chao Phraya River and built Emerald Buddha Temple within the Grand Palace. When Thonburi was still a distinct province before it was dissolved to form Bangkok metropolis about 50 years ago, Thonburi's symbol was Phra Prang (Stupa) of this temple. Phra Prang is lit at night and can be seen from tour boats or roof-top bars on the opposite side of Chao Phraya River.
