Thankyou teacher ❤. I'm from India and I love chinese language. I will follow your channel for learning this language.Your lessons are very helpful as a beginner. You are the best ❤
Thank you, Ms Yu. I have been struggling with tones since I started learning Chinese and had a loose understanding of tones but after watching this video I feel more knowledgeable :). My interpretation: Neutral: Normal English (a is a, ya is ya) Tone 1: Like neutral tone but the word is said for longer (instead of 'a' its more like 'aaaaa" with a constant tone) Tone 2: Sounds like asking a question in English ('a' is more like 'a?' like saying 'ok?' when you are unsure) Tone 3: It sounds croaky like a frog (I don't know how to relate this to English other than it sounds croaky) Tone 4: Loud at the start then quiets down (Not loud like a scream but louder than the other tones)
I'm glad this video was helpful and that you understood it correctly. If you're just starting to learn Chinese, don't worry too much about the tones. Just have a general understanding of the pronunciation of the tones and the use of pinyin, and use them together when learning vocabulary and phrases, and you can quickly improve your Chinese. I will also continue to release courses to help you learn Chinese better! ❤
Sorry, but I’m not planning to offer private lessons right now. I want to keep sharing free courses to help more people who are interested in learning Chinese.❤
