Jamil started Gully Tv Dvd in Atlanta Ga. in 2005 after severing ties with Vickie Stringer's Triple Crown Publications where he served as Ms. Stringer's personal ghostwriter. #GullyTv instantly earned a reputation as one of urban media's first R-rated hip-hop platform's due to it's thoroughly detailed coverage of the now infamous "lovers quarrel" between Atlanta Mc Gucci Mane & labelmate/mistress "Mac Breezy" which ended up being one of TH-cam's early viral hip-hop videos. Jamil and Gully TV Media transitioned to the worldwide web in 2007 as gullytv.com where Jamil filmed a series of underground music videos with Harlem MC Head Ice, Lord Superb (wu-tang clan), Unkasa (Diplomats) & Omillio Sparks of State Property Who in 2009 was the subject of Gully Tv's first of many #Documentaries "Let The Sparks Fly". The music industry look lavish from the outside looking in, but it's not all partying and chilling with models. You really got to put in a lot of work and deal with a lot of bullsh!t to be successful. Not everybody wants to do that even if they have the talent. I don't fault people for not wanting to be involved.
When labels rent and lease everything, it's easy to fool those looking in from the outside. Juelz was living in that fukkin studio and could barely afford his condo. The only real cash is from show performances and club appearances, which dries up when you tricking on pu55y and consuming drugs.

Did you hear his mixtape that came out in 05 I was trying to get my money back. He had good hooks when he was featured on Dipset songs, but his music was trash and the only reason why I bought the CD is because Juelz was on the cover with him. And hosted his cd one of the worst musical mistakes that I ever did in my life, was buying his CD which I don’t never do, not buy anyway

People seem to forget that his mother suffered a stroke and he took time off literally years to help her recover and the people under him, literally Jim jones started moving funny and you add 50 cent to the mix who furthered that division between cam and Jim. Cam'ron is not a good leader. This is also the reason why Dipset lost the Verzuz (That they clearly could have one with mixtape material alone). I'm a Cam fan but these branches all grow from his tree. He's a great businessman but a bad leader. Someone below said that Juelz is not a boss and never was. I agree. He was in a position to bring talent into the fold based on his status within DS (and as a Diplomat) but how they would be managed and careers overseen, Juelz would of course not be able to move past non-written contracts and get into the sophistication of doing real business. For me, Cam should have managed all of this and done better than he did as the head Diplomat. Grown men are grown men. Ok. Business is also business and if you have a team with strong 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings, that's called an Empire! Gotta be managed as so at all levels. Trendsetting swagger and timeless street lyrical talent = Cam'ron and The Diplomats & The Dip-Set. Could have been better.
