Thank you for your videos on InkStitch! It's the only ones I've watched and you do a great job explaining a complicated process! And what a sweet team you make!
I’ve just ordered my embroidery machine today so i’ve been watching all of your videos to get me up to speed for when it arrives! Thanks for your videos guys they’re great!
Thanks for this video. Interesting approach and definitely something I would try. I have been tackling my projects line by line, meaning I would stitch one line/word at a time that fits without unhooping my fabric so I don't have alignment issues for each word. Keep these videos coming. Love them!
Your video have be very helpful I know the post older but can you do an updated version of Inkscape/ ink stitch to go with the updated version of Inkscape and include splitting
Love your tutorials ……Great job I’ve purchased the bigger hoop and have yet to use it and you’ve just shown me how THANKS I’ll let you know how it goes😁
I know this is an older video but I found if I marked my actual fabric with the cross hairs I’ll know where to line it up a little bit better the first time and I usually use chalk or a heat or water soluble pen.
I wonder if you can add a couple 'dots' off to the top/bottom of the design for aligning to then unpick those once the design is stitched as they would only need be a couple stitches to mark where to line up with
@@ProjectAnonymous_Duo I think there could be a way to let the machine do the alignment. The goal would be to do no Move or Rotate when loading the design. Perhaps an "invisible" outer frame around each file so the machine centers them the same, then if they are offset in the design by the pitch of the hoop offset, the alignment would be perfect with no adjustments. The "invisilble" frame could be a thread color you skip during stitch-out. I don't have a re-positionable hoop so I can't try this idea.
Thank you for this comment! We will have to try this out. The tricky part, I think, will be creating two "invisible" borders that are perfectly aligned in the program (dimensioned) that correspond with each of our hoop positions... but will have to try this. Full disclosure, we are actually posting an update on this video using an idea from another viewer that suggested a reference point... Let us know what you think about that idea when it comes out! Thanks for watching!
Im waiting on my brother machine to come in so im working on inkscape to prepare, is your brother machine able to read svg files or did you have to convert?
SVG files are a graphics file format and cannot be directly used for embroidery. You will have to convert svg files to formats your embroidery machine will accept. According to the Brother website using format types that aren't accepted on your machine may cause your embroidery machine to malfunction. We recommend having a dedicated thumb drive you exclusively use with your embroidery machine to transfer files. Great video! One question, when you put in the first hooping, did you "move" the design at all on the machine or did you leave it where it started. I hope I'm making sense. Thanks!
I’m trying to find a video on making an text appliqué on a blanket using the multi hoop, have you tried making any kind of appliqué using letters on the 5x12 hoop? I have the se 1900 as well, if you can make a video do this I’d really appreciate your time spend trying to figure it out. Everyone says it can’t be done, but someone always finds a way somewhere down the road lol
I'm wondering if you could do it by putting in a color change so the machine would stop and you could reposition the hoop and then just restart the machine 🤔
I like masking tape to line up my hoop onto my clothing item. It is sometimes easier to hoop the stabilizer then "float" the sweatshirt onto the stabilizer with spray adhesive and/ or pins. Great job!!
It is not much easier with Hatch actually. You still have to manually align the files and run them sequentially. My hatch trial just ended and I’m finding it hard to justify the cost with learning Inkscape. Hatch saves a whole bunch of time with a lot of things but this is not one of them. When you are aligning the second half, lower your needle to check exact position. You can also incorporate registration marks into your design or trace them with chalk. Save a bunch of frustration.
Thank you for the comment and insight into Hatch limitations. We ended up doing a revisit on this project using a reference mark as was suggested from other comments. You can check that video out here: th-cam.com/video/frgQhJ520rk/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!
We have an update to this video that aligns the 2 5x12 files better, check it out here: th-cam.com/video/frgQhJ520rk/w-d-xo.html
As a mother I am so proud of her you are doing a great job teaching her
Thank you! You have made Inkscape so much easier
We're happy we could help! Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for your comment!
This channel is the best tutorial channel... thank you so much for making the learning process so easy and stress free!

Love this series, please keep adding your stitch adventured. Tip: please also mention the metric equivalents, for the rest of the world. ;-).

Thanks for watching! I’m happy our tutorials could help you with embroidery. Wishing you luck with using the 5 by 12 hoop!
Great video thank you for it 🙏 I just started embroidery
Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching!
Btw I love watching your videos
Thank you!

Of course, thanks for watching!

That's a great idea, use it as a reference mark for both files. Thank you so much, we'll have to test that out!

I was going to get the bigger hoop. I have only 4x4. Will try it.

Makes perfect sense, we left the first part of the design in its default location (didn’t have to move it at all). Thanks for the question!
Very useful thank you. Could it be possible a tutorial to multihoop a design? Thank yoy

Thanks for the video idea, we'll try to learn if we can do this eventually! Thanks for watching!
I'm wondering if you could do it by putting in a color change so the machine would stop and you could reposition the hoop and then just restart the machine 🤔
Unfortunately not. Because you have to reposition the hoop, the machine would default to the previously hooped position. Thanks for the comment!

Great job!!
Or maybe have an element (a few stitches) that overlap in the files?
A suggestion!
When testing embroidrey, instead of using scrap fabric i use duoble layer of paper towel,2x2 to 5x7 hoop its good
Great tip! Thank you, we'll have to try that out!
Everything I save it it saves the whole image it dsnt save it in parts help what am I doing wrong I followed all your steps 😢

This saved to big and didn’t read.
