The future of Chinese electric cars in Europe is uncertain due to *overcapacity,* a kind word for dumping.
Most Chinese cars "exported" to Europe are still *parking at European ports without a buyer,* turning the ports into huge long-term parking lots, a similar scene to the Bike Share program in China.

Chinese 🇨🇳 electric cars are *heavily subsidized* by many levels of Chinese government. Some people bought them, threw them away without driving, and still made profits.
    - That's why there are millions of new cars abandoned by owners across the country.
And this is not an exaggeration.

Oh so EV demand is low. Okay so why doesn’t US removes tariffs on Chinese EVs? Since demand is so bad this will be worst time for them to get in the market and any advantage they have from “overcapacity” will be nullified.
EV demand and adoption is growing where there is a fair competition in market.

What ever happened in US may not reflect on the market worldwide, if China can produce a car that s cheap to buy and cheap to run, they will take over the world. EV is just icing on the cake. In fact, I would argued that price point is the only thing that matters. Once they flooded the market with that, it s slow decline process for the rest.

It slows because EVs too expensive and no investment in infrastructure. Let the Chinese brands in and I guarantee the adoption rate is going to take off. Many people are waiting for cheaper and good EVs.

Joe Brandon would never let that happen to GM.
