Hello! I am used to carrying very large bags, and large leather bags, which tend to be very heavy even unpacked. The Chelsea Crossbody, just like all my other MZ Wallace bags, feels ridiculously light unpacked (when compared to my other bags). I hope this helps. So no, not heavy unpacked.
