WOW! Thank you x 1000! I have just managed to replace the gasket on my Samsung machine after watching your incredibly clear and well presented video! This is well within the reach of anyone reasonably comfortable with taking stuff apart and putting it back together, but I wouldn't have known that or attempted it without the confidence this excellent video provided. For my specific machine, a WW90TA046TT/EU purchased in March 2024 - here are some comments / differences which might help others: 1) I didn't need to tilt the machine to remove the bottom front panel screws, it is possible that the inconvenience of bending low and having to get your head near the floor is less risk than tipping the machine backwards. It also meant I could leave the machine fully plumbed in - it only came out of the recess enough to get my hands in to remove the screws holding on the top panel. 2) It was easier to lift off the front panel and hold it close to the machine before removing the door lock assembly, and in reverse easier to refit the door lock assembly to the panel before lifting the panel back on. Just don't move the panel away from the machine until you've unscrewed the lock assembly, as the wires aren't too long. This avoids the need to grope about down the side of the drum to reattach the assembly, and risk disconnecting the wires when doing so. 3) The screw on my inner clamp did turn anti-clockwise to undo - it was just a standard nut/bolt, different from your example. 4) It was helpful to take the gasket off the front and the drum very slowly and watch exactly what part of the gasket interlocks with the drum / front panel. It then made more sense when replacing it, so I was confident it was in exactly the right position. 5) Getting the gasket easily over the lip on the drum side was tricky due to the two large concrete weights bolted onto the drum. I felt I might have not completely fitted the gasket correctly, or damaged it when reattaching the wire seal. However with the correct sized socket / ratchet it was possible to take these off, making it SO much easier to get the gasket on and re-fit the inner clamp, before refitting the weights. They are very heavy, but so don't let them drop on ceramic tiles! 6) The replacement part (which was sourced elsewhere) had a small tube and inlet at the top of the gasket which is presumably for some feature on a similar machine. It's designed to accept a pipe on the top. On my original gasket there was a hole marked for such a fitting, but the fitting wasn't there, despite the parts having the same part number. I sealed the top end of the tube with electrical tape, just in case water would ever get up there and leak out. Thanks again for such a great resource!
Hi Mike, thanks so much for your great comment and feedback for this video...it's so good to know that our video was the reason you decided to replace your door seal yourself! Well done for completing the repair, and thank you for your detailed advice for people that might have the same type of model as your washing machine.
Absolutely brilliant demonstration, clear, concise, well paced. The prospect of replacing the seal was frightening me off, ( I had a failure with a tumble drier!) but now I understand what needs to be done! Thank you!
Dont know a thing about washing machines, followed this step by step and fitted the new seal, thank you very much, straightforward, concise and ultimately a life saver!
My door seal was ripped due to a broken drum spring- you should check when you take the top off the washer. They are easy to see big springs that hold up the drum. One on each side - worth checking whilst repairing the door seal- Great clear guiding video- Thanks ❤👍🏻
Hi, thanks so much for your comment. It's great to hear that our video has helped guide you through the door seal replacement, and thank you for your suggested advice regards the door springs.
Fantastic video! Was really anxious about having to fix this myself as my partner had just suggested replace the whole unit. Ordered the right parts and got stuck in with this great tutorial, thank you very much 👍🏻
Hi Joe, thanks so much for your comment. It's really great to hear that our video gave you the confidence to tackle this door seal replacement yourself! Well done on completing the fix!
Excellent video. Clearly and calmly explained. I’m currently standing, watching a towel go round and round in the machine with a warm sense of satisfaction. Just one suggested edit: at 1:15 when she says “you can pop the top panel off like so,” what she means is “do a spot of limbering up and a few stretches because you’re going to have to pull like a crazy man to get the top panel off.” Otherwise 10/10. Thanks!😁👍🏻
Great video - so clear. I had a few issues getting the inner seal retainer undone. Had to use a 7 mm socket on the screw as didn’t have the angle or strength to unscrew it! Everything else worked perfectly, thank you so much :)
Thank you so much eSpares and your very good video, my replacement had some harsh words muttered but your segments and explanations were top class - thank you!
Hi Jason, thanks so much for your comment here...we're so glad that our video helped you with being able to replace the door seal on your washing machine yourself! Well done for completing the repair.
Thanks my lady. Just a thing : a LOT of cables where preventing me from removing the control panel and the front door. I had to deal with very little space, abd the things getting in my way, without unplugging everything (obviously not meant for). Appart from this: very nice and clear tutorial. Best regards from France
Yes, good video guide, but needs editing to explain about the cables, as she didn't seem to have a problem placing the control panel to one side. It can't be done without removing the cables. Saying that, they are easily removed and obvious where they go back onto.
Our ecobubble machine was a slightly different model but I was still able to use these instructions. Much easier than trying to replace the seal with the front panel still on. Differences were: - The control panel wouldn't budge until I reached under it (from the top) and freed all the tabs under it as well as the ones on top. Also had to undo the clips holding the cables in place to all it to be placed on top of the machine . Take note of where these need to fix back on. - There is a hose which fastens to a pipe at the top pf the seal. This needs to be removed by using pliers (or brute force) to loosen the clip (by pushing the two tabs together) and then slide it up the hose. The pipe on replacement seal was different and I had to decide whether to use that one (it had no ridge to keep it in the hose) or replace it with the original (which can be removed from the old seal). I decided to use the new one, replaced the hose clip and so far have seen no leakage anywhere but I've kept the original part just in case. - Pay attention to which way the door lock goes on. My machine had no switch to stop you putting it back the wrong way around... Apart from a small panic when I couldn't free the control panel, this went pretty smoothly. Pay attention to the small details of how the demonstrator does things in the video; especially getting the seal onto the rim and putting on the external clamp. There is a knack to both, but once you have worked it out, it is relatively simple. However, it did take me well over an hour rather than the 15 minutes of the video. Thanks eSpares!

Why the hell would Samsung make it so difficult just to change the door seal? Ridiculously labour intensive for what should be a 5 minute job. It's almost as if they don't want you to fix anything...
Well done! The wife will still want for a new washing machine but I can still ask and save some money. Also need to consider if a 7 year old machine is worth it with the cost of the spare part and time to repair. Thank you.
Thanks so much for your comment here, it's great to hear you found this video so useful. Hopefully it helps you to replace the seal on your washing machine.

Watching your video about fitting door seal.. I cannot get the top off. I have unscrewed at the back but the top will not just slide back like on the video. Its well and truly stuck. Any advice?
Hi, thanks for your comment, it's great to see hear our video explains the fix so well...hopefully it now helps you to replace the door seal on your washing machine!
Hi Denise, thanks for your comment. Hopefully our video has helped you to replace the door seal on your washing machine...well done for fixing your appliance yourself!
Hi, thanks for your comment...great to hear that you have followed our video to complete the seal replacement. Well done for completing the repair yourself!
Well explained. Unfortunately the design of the Samsung Eco Bubble is an absolute nightmare. I have watched videos for three other makes of washers and none of them require taking off the front and control unit. The two top front screws in my unit won't come off, even using a power drill, so I can't replace the seal. And the inside metal parts have sharp edges - I cut both my hands trying to follow the video. I will never buy another Samsung appliance!
Same, not all eco bubbles are the same. Like you I cannot take off the front panel as top 2 screws cannot be taken off!! So will have to try and do this from the inside. My make is WF70F5E2W4W/EU
I now need to correct this. Taking the front off is the only sureproof way of fitting and successfully replacing the seal. Another video I saw informed me that 2 of the back plate screws may be solid, only way to take these off is by using a socket connection. I’ve now successfully replaced the gasket but now need to purchase a new outer gasket seal clamp wire as existing one I just cannot stretch. Took me hours and very sore hands but still worth doing yourself.
Hi Joseph, thanks for your comment. It's great to hear that our video has helped you to replace the door seal on your washing machine yourself. Well done for completing the fix!
Following along with a slightly different Samsung model and this was a much tougher job that expected. The inner door clamp was so stubborn and hard to get to I had to cut it off and buy a replacement. Thank you for the video but might be worth mentioning this is not a job for beginners.
Hi, thanks so much for your comment. We hope our video has helped you to fix your washing machine yourself, and it is back running with a nice new door seal!
Hi, we did it yesterday , but today During the spin it starts to make some noise and the smoke comes from the drum 😮 do you possibly know what we could do wrong?
We cannot get the top off. She makes it look so easy, but guess that machine is brand new . It is well and truly stuck.. any advice .. unscrews two back screws but the top will not budge backwards at all
Hi Donna, thanks so much for your comment. It's great to hear you found our video so useful, and hopefully we have helped you replace the seal on your washing machine! Well done for repairing your appliance instead of replacing it.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Well done for fixing your washing machine yourself! It's great to hear that our video helped you to keep your washing machine running.
I'm doing this right now and getting the door sprung clip on is no way as easy as shown. I can't even stretch it enough to get it around the rim. Is what I have, a stronger spring that can only be factory fitted? Two of us have even tried, but it just won't stretch enough. To put it on easily with one hand is near impossible.
Hi, thanks for your comment. We hope our video has helped you to replace the door seal on your washing machine. Well done for repairing your appliance instead of replacing it!
I feel your pain brother but it finally worked for me when I used her exact hand movements. Notice how she turns her right hand around, elbow pointing away from the gasket, to get more power
Hi Jon, thanks for your comment, we appreciate that you found our video well explained. Hopefully it helps you to replace the seal on your washing machine yourself.

Hi, thanks for your comment. Yeas a little different to the norm for that bit of the process isn't it. Hopefully our video has helped you to complete the fix yourself, and your washing machine is now back up and running!
Does the drum drop with the seal removed? I'm unsure if there is an issue inside the drum that's caused it to drop and damage the seal, or if the seal being damaged has meant the drum dropped. All the small pieces of rubber from the seal completely blocked my drain valve, so that needed emptying and the hose removing to get all the debris out.
Hi Lisa, thanks for your comment. Hopefully you feel confident in now replacing the door seal yourself. We're glad that we could help you keep your washing machine going!
The seal for my machine as promoted on the platform in the description os £58. However, I managed to find one on ebay gor £23 😊 Job done within an hour Thanks 😊

Hi, thank you for your comment. We are pleased to have been able to help you, hopefully you have now been able to replace the seal yourself, which is great!
you make it look so easy but you don't show how you put the wire all round the seal, thats what i'm having problems with, I've bruise the tip of my thumb trying to get the wire on grrrr

Lol yeh my finger was bleeding for hours 😢
I have just replaced mine, the screws didn't come off either I had to use a spanner to get then off instead.
Perfect instructions. Very clear. Thank you :))

Following along with a slightly different Samsung model and this was a much tougher job that expected. The inner door clamp was so stubborn and hard to get to I had to cut it off and buy a replacement. Thank you for the video but might be worth mentioning this is not a job for beginners.
Wow on the best tutorials I have seen. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hi, we did it yesterday , but today During the spin it starts to make some noise and the smoke comes from the drum 😮 do you possibly know what we could do wrong?
please make for top loading machine as its not available anywwhere here
Would a faulty rubber seal be the cause of a wobbly inner drum as the bearings seem to be ok?
We cannot get the top off. She makes it look so easy, but guess that machine is brand new . It is well and truly stuck.. any advice .. unscrews two back screws but the top will not budge backwards at all
Muchas gracias! Pude hacer el reemplazo por mi cuenta y sin problemas posteriormente 🙌🏽
Does the front door spring go round the metal Grove?

I'm doing this right now and getting the door sprung clip on is no way as easy as shown. I can't even stretch it enough to get it around the rim. Is what I have, a stronger spring that can only be factory fitted? Two of us have even tried, but it just won't stretch enough. To put it on easily with one hand is near impossible.
Stretch it out a bit
Excellent video and love your voice

I’m struggling with the outer clamp going on seems too short but it was the original 😮
I feel your pain brother but it finally worked for me when I used her exact hand movements. Notice how she turns her right hand around, elbow pointing away from the gasket, to get more power
Brilliant, well explained

Hi, thanks so much for your comment, hopefully we help you to replace the door seal on your washing machine yourself!
The drum doesn't drop with the seal removed. Have you checked the springs that hold the drum in place?
Great video!
