Ren purchased the rights to use the exact sample that Moby used on his Natural Blues album released in 1999, Vera Hall, Trouble So Hard 1937. Ren personally mixed this track on his own from top to bottom playing the guitar licks, percussion and strings as well as all the synths and distortions he made by altering the sample itself. The actual sample sung by Vera Hall has no instrumental whatsoever. You can pull up the original Vera Hall sample on TH-cam and hear the original for yourself. Ren has a short posted on his channel showing how he produced parts of this track and the methods he used making certain sounds.🔥🔥✌.
Excited for this! I've watched a quite a few reactors go down the Ren rabbit hole. Some were more focused on his singing technique, others his rapping abilities, others broke down the bars from a hip hop lens, some were just vibing. You, however, are one of the very best I've seen in terms of empathy for the messages of the songs. I hope your channel blows up, not just because you deserve it, but also because more people need to hear what you're putting out there. It's healing to the soul.

Thank you for this reaction. It's wonderful ro witness his journey . His diet is extremely limited with only 8 foods he can eat. Also takes 100 pills per day. 15 medications and the rest supplements. He is dealing with MCAS AND POTS as well

Rens song "Crutch" is a song when he was at his worse. It is song Ren sang with Bibi (Bee Bee) who he had dated at one time. It may be a song you might want to react to. The video was shot with no budget, and in winter s when you see vapors you can imagine how cold it was for Ren since he was undressed for a portion of that video. I try to hold my memories of that time at bay. I never cut myself, but I did throw my body into a wall that busted me up, I gave it something to hurt for. The cure for my illness was to get as sick as they could make me without dying, "they said," or else I only had a few years at best. The immune system is both a friend and an enemy, you don't want to be on it's bad side.

This surely is one he holds close to his heart, as the sample he used is Vera Hall’s ‘Troubles so Hard’. He has sung the sample many, many times by himself, or with Sam Tompkins and the Big Push. It has special meaning to him because of his own struggles.

I stopped hoping and just kept going and let go of my ego and just followed what was given to me after my only divorce. Been marred now for 25 years this year. 4 kids. Mine, hers , and one between us. I stopped eating anything that grew below ground and added more meat dropped 62.4 pounds in less than a year. No carbs, no sugar, no processed anything. I’m now 178 from 247. No longer pre diabetic. Blood pressure is down my cortisol levels are way down.

Good reactions and great breakdowns. The MAJOR problem people who watch reactions will have with you is that after you pause; you MUST hit the back arrow at least one time to go back 5 seconds. When you are breaking down songs everyday without going back after a pause (when people pause 5 times a song), it actually forces you and many others to miss MANY bars. (no hate) just a tip from a reaction watcher of like 5 years.

Actually commenting in the middle of your reaction. After listening to your story and struggles,(thank you 🫶) it occurred to me that Ren is not just vulnerable, he actually inspires vulnerability. He’s used his platform well. I think a lot of us Renegades feel safe expressing our own troubles because we know the others will have our back. That may be the most amazing thing about Ren. His artistic ability is beyond doubt, but to somehow use that to build such a positive and healthy community is absolutely mind blowing to me.

Could you please link the book in the comments. I was floxed ( Levaquin antibiotics) and I’m dealing with a tendonitis that is based in damage at the mitochondrial level and function. I’ve done research and have improved ON MY OWN by increasing protein ( collagen) , added omega 3, magnesium glycinate, vitamin D3, glucosamine, chrondroitin, bone broth etc.
I have dumping syndrome due to a genetic mutation that caused several heart abnormalities & lung malformation, but yeah, dumping syndrome is a real pain in the arse!!

Worst reaction ever wants to talk more than watch
Because of the Lyme disease going undiagnosed for so long Ren is only able to eat five different foods and that's it. He's talked about it before where if he has something that will give him a reaction his body creates too many antihistamines or something like that. That has to be horrible.
