The vending machines being nothing but place holders, are pretty immersion shattering. The mobi glass engineering app is a amazing idea. As for features that would be nice, I believe just the simple ability to end up back where you last logged out. Its weird you magically end up in a bed in some random location every time you lose connection, or just log out normally.
AGREED! MOBIglass should have ship function. My cell phone runs my lights at home and provides navigation inside my car. Why can't it do the same in SC?
We had landing mode when port olisar was the only station. The radar switched mode to a flat plane with a rectangle and a marker for your current position. Also we had light barriers reaching into the sky to shiw the boundaries of the landing pad
How about a speed limiter in vehicles? We can set our max speed using the mouse wheel when on foot and in ships, yet this feature is absent in ground vehicles (meaning they always accelerate to max speed whenever you hold down the forward button). Being able to dial the speed down to low when manoeuvring up ramps and in cargo bays, or having the speed at some point below max for driving over uneven terrain (so you don't get yeeted into the air with every rock) would be much more immersive and less jerky.
Love the shot at 2:50 beauitful camera work edit re medical - the solution to that gameplay is more options to for field treatment - I've made a pretty substantial and well received suggestion on spectrum to that effect re night vision, they have said that they want augmented vision modes but it would have to come post-vulkan we're finally near that point so I'm hoping the renderer team get tasked with this asap.
keep up the good work. enjoyed the video. My QOL improvement would be to provide more pads at stations so we can do a quick stop/refuel and take off again. I also like the hangars they added but sometimes you just need fuel. Oh, and please add some lights to the bottom of our ships to help with landing at night. And....add lights on/off indicators inside of all ships somewhere. For some ships it's obvious when your lights are on but for others not so much.
As for night vision on ships. We need low light, for stealth, and active night vision that would show a light to others viewing in that light range. More detectable when using an active night vision. Thermal would be cool, but just tends to seem pretty cheaty, and worth leaving out.
Landing Cameras is in development according to the monthly reports. SQ42 August 2023 Monthly Report : August saw work begin on the vehicle radar’s landing UI. To begin with, the team investigated rendering the environment outside of a ship in the vehicle’s radar display (similar to the minimap) so players can see the area they intend to land on. The geometry will be marked up so will only display the relevant landing area. Corridors are indeed used to hide areas and improve performance, per CIG. Whether they're needed now, I don't know.
A simple one that I really want; a dimmer switch for MFDs and the HUD. A lot of them are way too bright, especially for a game in which you're almost always either in space or on a planet at night lol
Good analysis TSC! ThanX! For me the greatest thing that could be added and should have been added from the beginning of development is Night Vision. Instead we ping the crap out of V, that has now gone back....at least in EPTU to TAB! Seriously.....NV was already IRL at the wwI so would imagine it would be also 900 years from now! it blows my mind that CIG cannot figure our why NV is not in game yet....And I dont give a rats ass about CR not wanting NV in the game!!! As You pointed out, it should now have been part of visor tech for 3.23.
Great video!!! You forgot compass HUD when you get out of your ship. It's the 31st century and there's no compass? Seriously? I do a lot of exploring outside of my ship and my biggest gripe with this game is that the devs seemingly put so much time and effort into the eye candy that they totally neglected BASIC game play functions. Finally mini-maps are coming but from what I've seen, they're pretty useless.
0:44 - Emergency Rooms
2:34 - Night Vision
3:23 - Landing Cameras
4:14 - Opening ship ramps & elevators remotely
5:21 - Vending Machines
6:55 - Replace corridors of New Babbage & Orison Spaceports
Indicator lights (like for landing gear) to show: doors open/closed, ship lights on/off
AGREED
Opening ship ramp remotely is one thing I'd love

A remote app via the Mobiglass for opening the ramp of our own ship would be a much welcomed addition. That and night vision are my favorites wishes.

We even had that in the past. A while back we were able to open the doors on our ships via mobiglass

Oh yeah! Now that you mention it I remembered that it was a thing!

I'd love to see a tag system so you can track your ship from a great distance without needing a box in it.

I tihnk they kept some station landing pads just for that, but you are right it wouldn't hurt to have a few more of them

A 3rd Weapon Group for more loadout customization and to bind EMP.

Elite Dangerous has a great Landing UI and Nightvision system, i'd be happy if CIG copied those.
Comunity mentions Night Vision. CIG: "HAHAHAHA"

CIG made a post not TO long ago about how there exploring landing UI with the new Map system

IIRC on-foot compass is coming with 3.23, the minimap does need some polish
@@TheSpaceCoder That's awesome!!! That's seriously the one thing that makes me excited.
Liked and subscribed!
Parachutes!
good points 'Space'
Literally any means to survive ejecting.
o7 ... thank you
CIG doesnt make the game better, only shit
