This was very well done Lili! I think there’s nothing wrong with keeping a housekeeper if you can afford it. The speaker was absolutely in the right to get mad at the listener for disturbing during her work for something that could be done over a call or text. (And should apologise to the speaker for the same) Having said that, the outburst was clearly very very hurtful (and I guess many people would have decided to leave then and there) and the apology felt more like dismissive and condescending and like okay I said I’m sorry now get over it (said for the sake of saying it, didn’t mean it at all) Just my perspective
Okay, that was all too much. She could just say "my day has been an agony, we'll talk at home" and save herself all that hurtful talk, which she lowered her profile to and barely apologized for, almost as if he had to thank that she's apologizing. If I were in her situation, I would have been angry at the listener, myself. Because the listener was being ridiculous and irrational. But, I'm going to be objective here: They both are in the wrong. The listener should also have apologized. The girlfriend, her apology was fake. She made a justification for her actions and buys the listener's forgiveness with food. A real one would have addressed the faults of oneself without including justifications or buying something to persuade. She wasn't really sorry, nor for telling the listener to "disappear" and confessing she's only staying to pay the bills. Otherwise, she would have left (which is justifiable if she left). That warrants an apology. It's like someone intentionally being physically abusive one moment, apologize and justifies the behavior, then buys someone's forgiveness with something tangible. That's manipulative and toxic (which the listener was also being toxic and inconsiderate). What I'm saying are two different scenarios, but it's the principal that needs to be focused on by how the apology is handled similarly. She claims to have a "mature" conversation, yet, it was far from mature. Only domineered a result without giving the listener a say (even if the listener was being childish, the anger was justifiable). The relationship won't work out. Especially when she meant the things she said. I personally would have packed my bags to leave. This was a really good audio to make me end up dissecting it for the fun of it.

I think there’s nothing wrong with keeping a housekeeper if you can afford it.
The speaker was absolutely in the right to get mad at the listener for disturbing during her work for something that could be done over a call or text. (And should apologise to the speaker for the same)
Having said that, the outburst was clearly very very hurtful (and I guess many people would have decided to leave then and there) and the apology felt more like dismissive and condescending and like okay I said I’m sorry now get over it (said for the sake of saying it, didn’t mean it at all)

Okay, that was all too much. She could just say "my day has been an agony, we'll talk at home" and save herself all that hurtful talk, which she lowered her profile to and barely apologized for, almost as if he had to thank that she's apologizing.
Now, as someone who has been on the stressed side of having a worse than bad day at work and has done something similar to the speaker (not to the point of hurt feelings), the apology falls short of covering what was done before.
Personally I break up with her at that moment when she tells me to disappear and I leave the home. A person how is like that should never be in a relationship.

If I were in her situation, I would have been angry at the listener, myself. Because the listener was being ridiculous and irrational.
But, I'm going to be objective here: They both are in the wrong. The listener should also have apologized. The girlfriend, her apology was fake. She made a justification for her actions and buys the listener's forgiveness with food. A real one would have addressed the faults of oneself without including justifications or buying something to persuade. She wasn't really sorry, nor for telling the listener to "disappear" and confessing she's only staying to pay the bills. Otherwise, she would have left (which is justifiable if she left). That warrants an apology. It's like someone intentionally being physically abusive one moment, apologize and justifies the behavior, then buys someone's forgiveness with something tangible. That's manipulative and toxic (which the listener was also being toxic and inconsiderate). What I'm saying are two different scenarios, but it's the principal that needs to be focused on by how the apology is handled similarly. She claims to have a "mature" conversation, yet, it was far from mature. Only domineered a result without giving the listener a say (even if the listener was being childish, the anger was justifiable). The relationship won't work out. Especially when she meant the things she said. I personally would have packed my bags to leave.
