I love that over time watching these videos Josh has been loved and supported so much that he went from “please don’t touch me” to just running up and throwing himself into a hug for the win. This seems like the best group of friends 😍
We used to make a "Brown Cow" when I was a kid w root beer, choc syrup and milk. The adults would make theirs with Kahlua. Sometimes, we would use Pepsi instead of root beer and call it a "Black Cow".
That sounds disgusting... but it also sounds really good at the same time
We have brown cow and black cow and purple cow and so on as choices at my local milkshake place.
I had milk, chocolate sauce, and tonic. Called it an egg cream

Yknow, when you think that we make floats with coke, rootbeer, gingerale, etc and ice cream. it really isn't weird at all to mix pepsi & milk. Just a difference of cream, sugar and ice. Color me biased. Also @@tinntinnamp I discovered delicious egg creams belatedly through Vietnamese restaurants (bc normal restos won't do raw egg anymore)

Josh giggling uncontrollably over the testicle cheese is just delightful
I can't even cap, Josh was the inspiration of 70 lbs of weight loss, after I saw old photos of him sneaking into Guy Fieris party I said to myself, if he can do it why can't I, and I now wear shirts as tight as Josh, even though I still have a while to go I will get there.
There was once this old cracked article where a guy convinced a dairy queen to make a chilly cheese blizzard, and it remains the biggest food crime I've seen on the internet.
Josh I'm from South Africa, and I can tell you right now that almost all of the Road houses here have Brown Cows.

Pepsi and milk was made famous on the TV show Laverne and Shirley. I'm not sure if it started there or not, but that's where I first learned of it.

I think Coke and milk is actually a thing in the Midlands in the UK. It's kinda like a float you left sitting for hours
Yeah thats why I don't get why people are so disgusted by pilk, its pretty much just like a soda float if the icecream melted and was a little less sweet
Same with Milky Mountain, it's Milk and Mountain Dew in 1:1 proportions and is a drink loved all over the world.

Come on, Josh and Nicole have to try each others dishes! You know they did, but why didn't it make the edit?! They both did so amazingly well with one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard of! But I will say, Danny made it make a lot of sense when he brought up root beer floats. I do like a good Coke float; this might be ok. Or not, since Pepsi is vastly inferior to Coke.
OMG I'm so used on seeing Nicole being the shortest in the kitchen, and now Lily is the shortest, this feels so weird seeing them side by side

I'm talking to my mom right now. I mentioned this episode and pilk (we love GMM and Mythical Kitchen). She's 66. I quote from her message: "Pepsi and milk -- pilk. Huh, was doing that when I was a kid. That was good stuff."

I am definitely on Team Food Crime where pilk is concerned. I remember watching an old syndicated episode of Laverne & Shirley when I was about 5, in which Laverne drinks pilk. I thought it sounded interesting so I went into the kitchen and made some. It was the first time in my conscious memory that I had ever eaten anything that was so horrible it made me vomit immediately. I've never forgotten that horrific flavor.

It's my answer when people ask how long to fry food for : "until it's GBD."
The “Laverne & Shirley” days when Laverne used to drink milk mixed with Pepsi onscreen. The show started back in 1976, but I am not sure when they first showed off this drink. It is supposed to be 50:50. You only do about 10% Pepsi.

There's a drink called a paralyzer that has either vodka/tequila, Kahula, some Coke and an oz or 2 of milk. Tastes pretty alright.

I've heard "pilk" so many times now that I think it's a real world.
Milk & Pepsi is from the Happy Days spin-off, Laverne & Shirley. A Brown Cow is vanilla ice cream floated in Root Beer, while a Black Cow is vanilla ice cream floated in Coca Cola with chocolate sauce.
the Pepsi and milk combination drink was highly popularized in the 1970s by Penny Marshall as Laverne DeFazio on the sitcom Laverne & Shirley. I'm not sure where it was first invented Penny Marshall said in her autobiography that she and her siblings used to drink it in Brooklyn growing up. she made it part of her character on the sitcom
Laverne drank milk and Pepsi all the time in the TV show Laverne and Shirley. It's not terrible, but chocolate milk and Pepsi tastes just like a chocolate ice cream float.

Pilk is actually okay, but I always described it as "Imagine drinking a melted rootbeer float, but instead of the rush of vanilla and sugar from the ice cream, you are left extremely disappointed." 🤣🤣

We used to drink Pepsi milk growing up in Southwestern PA! I had forgotten but the memory is unlocked.
There was a big thing at my school where people would print out pictures of Pilk and put it on this on teachers desk to terrorize her. They even went as far as to make fake emails and email her multiple pictures of Pilk. She was haunted by Pilk.
I'm 35, and used to watch reruns of Laverne and Shirley. Milk & Pepsi is definitely a 'Laverne' as she used to drink them.
The fact that Josh grew up drinking Pilk honestly kinda makes sense
It's weird that this is getting the spotlight to me. My dad(from long island)used to drink something like this, but instead of a milk base, he would use coca-cola. So, mostly soda, and a bit of milk. Tasted like a poor man's ice cream float

When I first heard about cola-milk a few years ago (as Coke-Milk from Golden Girls or something) I got super interested and had to try it. I liked it and had it many times, but every time I drank it, it upset my stomach (because of the curdling milk, I guess). I've since stopped drinking it to avoid the consequence, but I wish I could continue to enjoy it.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s. We would mix a bunch of different soda together and call it swamp water. Sometimes we would add milk and called that sewer water. It was horribly delicious!

Pepsi and milk isn't an internet thing - my grandfather used to drink it (it was the only way he'd drink Pepsi). And he's been dead since 1980.
Also a brown cow is a root beer float made with chocolate ice cream. A little diner that used to be in our local downtown mall back in the 80s sold them.
I gotta point out, same goes for simp.

Between them living Westcoast Cali lives now, and being TH-cam personalities, I kinda knew it would be expensive AF. Way too rich for my average blood.

We’re going to a SCI fi convention in July, and we’re not going to spend that much on admission for 2 + autographs + photographs + souvenirs, and there’s 4 or 5 people we want to meet
I really enjoyed the GMM episodes over the years… but I only watch the kitchen now, and the kitchen podcast. I feel like R and L have become a bit to “commercial” in recent seasons. A bit of a turn off for my kids too.
There is always the push to purchase stuff….
Buying “access” to stuff that really isn’t so mythical anymore. Now, it’s just ….. stuff.
I hope kids will find the older more sincere episodes to inspire them.

25 years ago or so I played a joke on my friend by tricking him to drink 7up mixed with milk. He loved it but it wasn’t until years later I discovered 7up and milk was an actual thing. Blew my mind

Yes a few months ago Josh had his grandmother on the show. She is 100 years old and from South Africa. He made his version of her favorite South African dish, along with her recipe. It was a fun episode that you might want to check out.
A friend of mine from vietnam introduced the concept of milk in soda to me. Half and half in big red was his favorite.

Milk & Pepsi came from Laverne & Shirley. Evidently, Penny Marshall (“Laverne”) went to a Kosher camp. You can’t drink milk with meat, so they’d drink Pepsi. Penny wanted Pepsi, but her mother made her drink milk first because it was “healthier,” and sometimes she didn’t rinse the glass out before putting the Pepsi in, so there’d be some mixing. Penny didn’t hate it, so she decided to drink it more intentionally. When they started the show, she incorporated it into her character’s quirks.
It's basically just a twist on a French soda. Milk instead of cream/half-and-half, and Pepsi instead of carbonated water with berry syrup
