Still coming back for nostalgic purposes. Love this so much. Arc the Lad: Twilight of Spirits has been one of my most fav tactical rpg. This game has shaped my childhood, I remember finishing this game like 10 times again and again because I can't cut the attachment I got from this game.
thank you so much for uploading the ending! I adore this game and it's characters, even after all the years, and it has aged quite well, but I just reached the final boss battle and abruptly decided that suffering through that bs once was enough for a lifetime ahaha.
@MelloShark Yeah, it's funny cause Kharg was the first time I'd heard Quinton Flynn in anything, so when Kingdom Hearts II came out, I was like "It's Kharg's voice actor!", and people were just kinda like "huh?". Hoping someday he'll come to a con nearby so I can try and meet him (and I would definitely wear my Kharg costume).
@Rtkat3 I didn't even notice that, but yeah, now that you mention it, even in the credits in the booklet, there's no one listed. Just the name of the recording studio.
@HikariKirameku I also like how Quinton Flynn and Jennifer Hale worked together on this game after they had already done Metal Gear Solid 2. Oh and also John Cygan.
@HikariKirameku I kinda wish the story hadn't ended so abruptly, though. We kinda know what Darc, Kharg and Volk will be up to, but the future of the rest of the characters is left hanging. Sometimes, great games seem to have a curse of rushed endings.
I agree, I miss the old days were the RPGs would usually have some form of "and this is what everyone did afterwards". Along the PS2 era, I noticed the norm was the short, more abrupt endings. I guess they like leaving things vague in case of sequels ...or just to drive us nuts like they did in Tales of the Abyss :P
I thought Arc the Lad: End of Darkness was the sequel or something, Darc and Kharg play a role in that somehow, they are on the cover. I think you can´t play them or see any other old chars in that one though, I don´t know anything about it really.
Ever played End of Darkness? D'you know what happens to Darc and Kharg? I watched several EoD videos on youtube and I can't see them anywhere. They turned Kharg's house into the headquarters for the defense corps; there's a scene where the human party minus Kharg gets together briefly but they don't mention their former leader at all! I've read that EoD's rubbish compared to ToS but making the main characters play such minor roles in the sequel is quite unforgivable.
@HikariKirameku Yeah, I heard that they completely messed up the character development from this game, dropping Bebedora (!) and having Maru married to his cousin (!!). But Twilight is a great game. Thanks for your videos, I've really enjoyed watching them.
@HooshaLex Sorry, I don't. I don't know if an official one exists. A lot of songs from this game never made it onto the OST, which is a pity, since there was a lot of good music from it.
@TheSarialink *shudder* EoD...Besides it breaking the characterizations like crazy, messing up the established storyline, and just being overall terrible, EoD doesn't have Darc or Kharg show up at all. You only see a picture of Kharg with the letter he sends to Paulette, and you just don't see Darc at all (who apparently just fell off the planet). There's a reason I don't consider this game canon.
I'm seriously doubting there'll ever be another, considering what happened with so-called sequel for this one. It was bad...REALLY bad. Although if they're going to make one that doesn't suck, I'm all for it.
@JoeskaMG End of Darkness was a sorry attempt at a sequel, and is garbage. I don't consider it part of the actual series, it was so bad (so many plot and character personality inconsistencies). While you can technically play the other characters outside the main story mode on missions (or on the long since shut-down online mode, I used to play as Darc), it's pretty boring since the gameplay is terrible too. You're better off just ignoring that game.

A big part of the reason I recorded this whole game is so I could re-watch parts without having to replay it, so I totally feel you there, lol!

Glad you enjoyed the videos. I had fun making them.

I was SO surprised to see Quinton Flynn was Kharg.I was like "Woah, wtf, he sounds Nothing like Axel!"..Or Reno, or Deidara, or Iruka...

I can't believe they didn't list the voice director of this video game.

What a creepy beginning for an ending song... :-D

@MonkeyManSamo Ah, I forgot he was in that too. I never really played the Metal Gear games, I fail horribly at them. Stealth is not my forte :P

Hahaha yeah, I've just watched some clips here on TH-cam.. looks way boring.. I'd miss Darc too much anyway. XD
Yeah, you kinda get used to her after a while.
