If he just ran and jumped and stopped the ball with a kick, it’d probably look as simple as a Mario jump, but what it looks like he could’ve done was kind of like a somersault. That’s when it dawned on me. Maybe the reason there’s little animation to fill in the gaps is because no one other than maybe the mangaka is sure of what actions and motions lead up to such striking, shocking, and awesome poses and positions. It’s not a bad thing, because it’s pretty common. I’ve read manga that I couldn’t quite tell what happened and expected the anime to fill in the blanks, only for it to happen just like this moment. That’ll be my understanding for things like this moving forward 😊
Also, how is Isagi the MC. Remember when Isagi and Nagi were on the same team and he bitched him out the the thousandth degree and ran the team leaving Nagi to only have one dialogue option in “yes sir”? That Isagi is much less skilled physically than the current Isagi. Also, how exactly did this goal come to be? Without Isagi orbiting Rin they woulda kept up the triangle and lost 4-0. Then on the rebound after Rin’s crash out another dead play occurs that Isagi breaks by once again giving the defender too much to think about leading to the final two chances. If Nagi were the MC the series wouldn’t exist since it would only be a perspective from a guy that sits in one spot the entire game and does a trick shot every 5 episodes then dying the rest of the game.

I’m sure sae’s doing some genius impossible stuff, but it looks ridiculously unimpressive and plain. I wouldn’t even know how good his skills are if isagi and crew weren’t there to narrate every other frame
Ur animation critiques were valid 2 and 3 but not anymore. I do feel bad for you reactors since you all watched those episodes like children soy nodding along to trash animation and now ur making up for it. But the issues now are insanely nitpicky and just come off as ur salty. All the still shots after those two episodes have been in moments of introspection or processing the field (just like season 1) and ur still popping off about a dead meme. The studio deserves huge credit for righting the ship after their employees quit on them mid production. Shameful starving artists gave up and did a media tour after putting out one of the worst episodes of anime ever seen (2).
