    Apologies for all the wind noise and terrible editing! And all the incorrect information... Watch at your own risk of boredom and possible loss of sanity.
    The Slightly Shambolic Shuffles are back! This time we are at the 2022 Festival of the Unexceptional at Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire, and it gets rather Shambolic rather quickly. These are the Slightly Shambolic Shuffles after all...
    In this first part, we remind the audience that we do not talk about diesels on this channel, get rather enamoured with an awful lot of exceptional, but still unexceptional cars, dodge Porsches which are probably too new for the event and generally ramble on about very little of any importance at all. Nothing untoward, then!
    As an independent vehicle consultant, I take potential buyers through the whole car buying process from choosing a make and model to a vehicle handover and road tax. In addition to information on this service, I also have a selection of written and video reviews of cars that I have owned, hired, borrowed or have somehow come into my possession. Please use the Contact Me page on my website to get in touch, visit my Facebook page for latest updates and share this video if you like it! Thank you for watching.

    The 1.6 Escort Mexico from 1995 to 1996 is already my car of this part of the shuffle, followed by David's 205, then Mark's Mégane Coupe.
    Loved the little K11 Micra shape, takes me back to my first car which was a K11 Micra Twister.
    A great first part sir.

    Thankyou for documenting the Festival of the unexceptionable again, it is wonderful event. These late model Talbots did indeed use peugeot gearknobs steering wheels and column stalks. Like many cars now mk1 Seat Ibizas are a rare site.

    A Mk 2 Fiesta 1.1 was like a fail safe go to buy in the 1980s, luckily it was a fine little car.
    The Daihatsu Applause replaced the Charmant which was actually rear wheel drive but very plush.
    The Talbot Alpine and Solara. I have driven the Solara, a 1982 1.3 and a can report good grip and cornering ability, with much roll, I might add. The gearchange is an acquired taste but it works and the engine is actually a good unit if you are not in a terrible rush and is actually quite economical but yes rattly and noisy . The cabin is roomy and the dash is very nice and was applied to the later Talbot Avengers at Facelift.
    The Mk4 Escort Eclipse was a desirable car as was the Bonus 90 poverty job for some reason, even though the Mk5 was already in the showroom.
    The P38 Range Rover is a forgotten gem which is a very nice vehicle.
    My Uncle had a 1975 Hillman Avenger 1500 Estate and it had a lovely revving engine, with a beautiful American look steering wheel.
    Excellent Sir, so much stuff. Senator, A Class, 205, Cayman (actually not really), Corsa B, my word and Rovers, Meastros, and Not an Allegro.

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes sir, this is only the first part, of course, there were seven others! Never seen a Charmant in real life, I have only ever heard of them. I would like to get hold of a Solara at some stage, although that could be tricky given how rare they are. The Escort Eclipse was delightful, as was that Senator.

    Already cars I managed to miss even in this first part.
    It was a fantastic event.
    Interesting tit bit regarding the Triumph parked next to my Mégane. My friend drove those along with various V8 Rovers in the police force and the triumph was affectionately nick named the flying dust bin because they were very fast in a straight line but apparently not so capable in the bends. I think these cars are looking very stylish these days.

      I would like think we can still talk about the actual car as a piece of design or model spec, regardless of the fuel type, just don't mention the said fuel. Just ignore that fact and focus on the car itself. That Sierra for example, is such a rare beast, and does warrant a mention. Just my opinion. I know MR Lloyd is a very fair man. Most of the time the engines aren't running or on show. At the day end of the day, it's still someone's pride and joy, forbidden fuel or not. All cars on show, are a testament to someone's passion to keep them alive and on the road.

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting
      @lloydvehicleconsulting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am afraid, sir, that you do know the rules by now, and as much as you seem to be pleading for me to change them, you knew that it wasn't going to happen, didn't you? We shall continue to refrain from talking about diesels on this channel, even if an XUD is clattering merrily away in the background, it is all over the merchandise, and it has been the case for over 1,000 videos and almost four years.
