As a fan of New Wave, Post Punk or Goth of the Eighties I always find phantastic bands on youtube that I have never heard of before. This is another example. I totally like that song and I compare it to the sound of the early Cure on their first LP.
Ulrich Voß \ I feel the same way. "As a fan of New Wave, Post Punk or Goth of the Eighties I always find phantastic bands on youtube that I have never heard of before. This is another example. I totally like that song"
The vocals start at about 0:49. I love the way the sound just takes off at around 1:30! I can't even describe it. And the way Rob sings it about 1:17, and 1:57
I guess I'm nowhere without you I think I thought I had it made Running circles scared at night, doesn't make it alright And that's the price you pay You got circles round your eyes, you can't sleep at night You wait for sunrise The price of love, the price of the price of the price of love The price of love, the prr-rice of love the price of love Yes love, of love oh love We've heard, about something tragic We've danced, a thousand tragic roles We've played those late night shady characters We'd gotten away but nobody told But now You got circles round your eyes you can't sleep at night You wait for sunrise The price of love, the price of the p-p-p-price of love Love the price of the p-p-price of love And now, you got circles round your eyes you can't sleep at night You wait for sunrise The price of love the p-p-price of love laahhhhhve-love Yes love of love oh love Loooooooooooove
@laurabehenna7950 You're quite welcome. A few years ago I posted lyrics for as many Lucy Show songs as I could, but a lot of those comments are hidden now. (This is me on my second account btw.) I've seen a video of the band playing live, they do seem entertaining.
Great stuff. I always thought they were an L.A. band rather than British. This is very hard to find - I'm glad someone uploaded it, and on vinyl no less. They used to play this on our local alternative/new wave station in Utah in the '80s, oddly enough I think this was about the only song of their's they played.
I love this band! But I can't find a longer version of Leonardo Da Vinci. I have copy on a 35 year old cassette tape, poor sound quality after all these years. Anybody know where to look?
Loved this band but was too young to see them live 😔
This is a band I've always thought should have achieved much more success than they did! Even now they are a seriously underrated band.
pedazo grupo..maravilloso🖤🖤💯💯
son maravillosos, nunca los habia escuchado antes...pero son una GRAN BANDA....suban del grupo.gracias

Excellent band, I always wonder if they were left to their own devices would have been so much more?!
First Lucy Show track I've ever heard (on France Inter) back in the days. '84?
Loved it instantly of course ;-)
I think the first one I ever heard was the View From the Outside back in January or February this year
New message was mine… instantly fell in love

Totally underrated band, this has definitely got a cure vibe, I always wonder if they're record labels pushed them in certain directions

Yes love, of love oh love
We've heard, about something tragic
We've danced, a thousand tragic roles
We've played those late night shady characters
We'd gotten away but nobody told
But now
You got circles round your eyes you can't sleep at night
You wait for sunrise

Love the price of the p-p-price of love
And now, you got circles round your eyes you can't sleep at night
You wait for sunrise

Yes love of love oh love

Thanks for posting these lyrics. It was an honor to see this excellent band live in 1985.

Thought they were Canadian?
circular and gnarly angst
Starting like a The Cure! Other voices...
😍😍😍😍

I remember...the sonic youth song is "schizophrenia"
Starting like a Sonic youth song I know ...
This is Internet Litter.
When bands actually looked cool and had no need for pathetic tattoos.
😂😂😂😂😂
Ya. Tattoo are gay. And lip and nose piercings too.
