I am 72 and I feel so very badly for our children. It's not just about abortion. It's about the fact that "my body IS my body". It is NOT the right of anyone else telling us what we can or cannot do with our bodies, especially not a group of MEN and ONE WOMAN. They talk about God and the Bible, but God is within each of us and it is NOT in the politics.

@@deborahwygonik9832 this is what breaks my heart. I have a daughter and a son. This effects both of them. I was raped and had an abortion. No guilt. No trauma. My mother told me yesterday that when she was young every town had that one big, secluded house where everyone knew girls could go to “take care of it”. Everyone knew, but nobody talked about it. Police knew, but many had girlfriends who had “visited” that house too.
She thinks things will immediately go back to that way. She doesn’t remember any rumors of anyone dying from it. But she remembers many young wives who died from giving birth.
Babies born with downs or other forms of mental retardation or severe physical abnormalities (even adhd) were sent to state hospitals and lived there their whole lives. In the 90s they closed all the state hospitals and placed clients in group homes, then into their own homes with 24 hr. care.
So basically, republicans want to force births but cut any aid for severely disabled babies. They don’t know the mess they’re making.

Pregnant women need free healthcare and paid paternity leave. Contraceptives must be free. And having kids must be positive - tax cuts, tax child support, rebates on activites.

That we won’t see , as the Democrats don’t have that on their agenda , plus they won’t get the support from their own people in the senate , think back , if they had support this may not have happened , think manchin ,and sinema , things start going off course with them not throwing support behind removing the filibuster .

We need to get politics out of the selection process. Great Britain puts judges on their Supreme Court based on merit. We MUST change the system. This decision was/is horrendous. Now, I'm nearly 62 years old. I will likely never live to see the changes made that are necessary to reverse this and other horrible decisions this Court has made and will make; it will probably take decades....

Wait until the absent fathers of those unwanted pregnancies start getting the paternity lawsuits and being expected to admit to and fund their unwanted children. Got to remember it was easy to avoid responsibility prior to DNA testing.

Why aren't Democrats working on removing Clarence Thomas from the bench? If this was reverse and Thomas was a Democrat, he would be immediately removed. Unfortunately, Republicans know how to play the game.

Women losing their jobs, then trying to find one that has healthcare and childcare. Also gals spending money to fly or drive to another state for an abortion, all for a handful of stoodge repug judges. The lives of the many in the hands of just a few...its just not right!

Biden won't go along, unfortunately. That's why we need a new candidate for 2024. He won't even consider expanding the Supreme Court and that's a deal breaker for me. Same thing with the filibuster.

Interesting point; some people seem to expect perfection in a POTUS. It's ridiculously unreasonable - no POTUS ever was a 'godlike' king (not even the crazy insecure one who wants to be worshipped forever). We still have to hold them and congress people accountable for their actions. At very least, they shouldn't be condoning cruel or impossible standards on us constituents. We hired 'em, we can fire 'em.

We are in the mess we're in because a significant percentage of the ELECTORATE -- where the RESPONSIBILITY ALWAYS REAMINS -- has been sitting on their asses entertaining themselves to death and spewing excuses for NOT voting. Or voting for fringers who can't be elected. Or jabbering nonsense about third parties.
There are TWO viable parties, period. They are NOT "both the same" -- period. Full stop.
Either VOTE or sit down and shut up.
