Sending prayers and positive thoughts for your husband's recovery. Thanks for sharing that with us. I've always been a collector and a stitcher, but for the past few months I've been working on stitching from stash. I need to downsize and have way too much stuff at the moment. All of your stitching is beautiful. thanks so much for sharing it with us!
Sending good thoughts for healing and recovery for your husband. Sharon, I always enjoy your videos. I am right there with you on the stash. I started realizing this over consumption of material things that is so prominent in the US is no longer where I want to be in life. I have spent this year reducing what I have in general and no longer buying what I considered “collecting” in the past. It’s so freeing! No judgement to others- everyone has their passion in life! I think I have saved quite a bit of money this year. Cheers.
Wishing your husband a complete recovery and sending hugs to you and your family ❤ Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful stitching with us. I hope it brings you comfort while your husband is recovering.
Sharon...happy to see you... so sorry about your husband's strokes...I had three strokes in a weekend in 1999...it is a devastating medical condition for the family...praying for you and your family ❤❤
Thoughts and prayers for strength and courage for you and your family going through this difficult time. Hang in there! Your work is lovely and thank you for sharing your time with us. This was my first visit with you, but I will be back. Warm regards
First time here and we just wanted to say we hope your husband is on the mend and we are thinking of you. Also we loved your video as loved your Stitchy style, you have inspired us to give samplers ago.
I’m so sorry to hear about your husband, I hope he’s feeling much better and is making a quick recovery. It was very nice to see you again and as always such beautiful stitching.
My wish for your husband,is a recovery that is quick. My wish for you is that love and your stitching helps keeps you calm and relaxed in-between looking after your husband as he recovers ❤❤❤
I’m so sorry to hear about your husband! I hope his recovery is going well and that he will be home soon. I LOVE your videos and stitching and have missed seeing them. I understand about not buying anything else to add to your stash. I look at mine and feel like it is obscene! I’ll never get around to stitching it all and it clutters my mind to look at it all! Next year will be stitching from my stash and not buying much of anything.
Yout flosstube just came up in my feed. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy stitching samplers and some smalls for exchanges. I hope your husband is on the mend and feeling better. Sending prayers.
First time viewer/subscriber here. Really enjoyed the time with you. Trusting your husband is improving daily. It was a pleasure seeing your stitching! Looking forward to seeing you again!
Sending hugs and best wishes for a quick recovery for Rich. I am a longtime viewer and have missed his jokes on your Knit Style channel! Please update us and send our best to him!
Just wanted to let you know that my prayers are with you and your husband. I’m sorry he is so ill and so sorry that you and your family are hurting. I know God will give you strength and comfort and I know He will be with you. I wish and pray that come Thanksgiving you will be gathered together in praise for a good recovery for your husband. God bless all of you, Sharon. It was good seeing you as I had been thinking much about you lately and wondering how you were getting on.
I really love this. I’m a new cross stitcher and I’m finding myself getting caught in the trap of wanting all the things. I already have enough for a good amount of time already so I’m going to follow by your example. Sorry about your husband, I do hope he makes a a full recovery xx
I'm with you on scanning charts and importing into Markup. I haven't stitched from a paper chart since I started using Markup. Please make more videos more often. Almost everything you've shown, I'm also stitching and I love your work. Praying for your husband and hoping he is improving and feeling better. And, I'm with you on stitching what I have. I'll never get the ones I have here stitched so no need to buy more unless it's like you said . . something I HAVE to start NOW!
Hoping your husband will heal quickly. ❤ That’s a recovery journey. I think we’re the same person on opposite sides of the country … I’m glad I found your flosstube. 🎉 I only buy (PDF) patterns if I’m sure it’s something I’ll stitch and upload to Markup. Samplers are my favorite stitches with NPIs and I stitch what my mood feels like. I enjoyed your show, thank you!
Best healing wishes for Richie, Sharon. I hope he recovers quickly from his stroke, and it's a little easier to manage time and priorities. Like you, I'm also a knitter, and I remember buying all the things when I started in 2014. I have 8 sets of circular needles and, literally, a store in my walk-in closet. I swore I wouldn't repeat that madness with cross stitch when I picked it up again after 40 years. I bought 4 kits and 3 patterns in July and have finished 2 of them. I will not buy anything else until they are finished. I promise. 😅
It's called assisi work where the motifs are not stitched, but the background is. Hope this helps. I've also stopped buying stash. I'll only repace thread if i really need to, or I'll find a thread that can be used instead. Your stitching is so pretty 😍 I hope your husband is ok and makes a good recovery, take care of youself. Luv from the uk
Hi. Your channel just popped up as Im sitting stitching and I am so glad it did. I love love love your work and choice of patterns but the Peacock, unicorn and badger wow that made my heart skip a beat. Im new to cross stitching but am just working on my second Modern folk Embroidery (I have only chosen small ones though!!). I have never seen a cross stitch that is more beautiful than the peacock one though, I would love to work on that. I dont have a stash although do have a lot of DMC as I do alot of other embroidery, but is so tempting when you watch all the floss tube channels!! I keep thinking ...maybe just one project bag 🤣🤣🤣. I really hope you do another video (I have subscribed) and I hope you and all your family become well, healthy and happy x
Sharon, this is my 1st visit to your flosstube channel & I am glad I did. Praying for your husband Rich and your family during this challenging time. ❤❤
Good to see you even if it's older footage. Prayers and white healing light going out to Richie and your family. I have been culling my even weave stitching supplies as well. I have more than I will be able to finish. I have found a young stitcher excited for all that I give her. May your crafts help you through the coming months. xx
Love your sampler and the frame matches so well. All your cross stitiching actually. Very Best of healing wishes to your Richie , sending ❤ and Love and Caring prayers 💕 ((hugs)) 🙏 from Australia xx
Found you for the first time today. Boy am I glad! I started around 2020 also but had FOMO y really bad. I have way, way too many charts all kitted up. I need to thin things down as I am 76 and my tastes have evolved in the fast couple of years. I love samplers too. Today I am using NPI for the first time…WOW… do I love stitching with it. I hope your dear hubby does well. Take care and be kind to yourself.
Hoping your husband heals quickly! Not only will it be a good thing for him, but it also will give you more room in your brain to enjoy life! Like you, I prefer PDFs to paper patterns. In fact, my stash of paper patterns fits in a plastic file box. Also like you I scan my paper patterns but I export them from a document file as a PDF before opening in MarkUp. Files I create myself in StitchFiddle or PCStitch don't come with a pretty Materials list like purchased patterns, so I export the file as a jpg so I can make a better Key than what those programs produce and then position it where I want it to appear in the final PDF.
Alot of prayers for your husband🕯🙏 and also for you❤. Love your stitching. When my brother got sick, stitching helped me. Maybe it will help you go through this hard time. 🫶
Blessings to you and yours! Enjoy the holidays. LOL - my style is not the same as yours - but truly enjoyed your video. Will watch your others just because of the fun. :)
Prayers for your husband's full recovery. My husband had a stroke six years ago and is doing very well, but it can take time. Be sure to take care of you, also! Your stitching is beautiful.
I’m sorry to hear about your husband! It’s good to see you back. Best wishes for a quick recovery for him. Thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching. Edit: I’m working on Akgit too. I love it, but am not as far along as you.
Sorry about your husband. My first time seeing you and have enjoyed it. As I get older I too have cut back on purchases and try to stitch from stash. Trying to limit myself to what I really love 💕🧵🪡
I told my stitchy friends during an in-person stitch recently that I wanted to be a stitcher, not a collector. I keep my collecting to Star Trek. I have been going a little wild this year and put myself on a chart fast after August Market.
First of all, that must have been hard news for you to share about your husband and I hope his recovery is going well and you are able to take care of yourself as well. I think it’s called negative space stitching when the stitching is the background and the motifs are not stitched. Your stitching is beautiful, as always, and I thank you for sharing!
Sharon, I’m only half way through and it’s my first time watching you. Can we be stitching bffs? I’m stitching so many of the same things! I’m praying for your husband and for you.
Holly! Yes, we certainly can. We have more in common than you know, my son is also a Childhood Leukemia survivor (Age 3) he’s now 29. Love your channel. 😊
@@hobbiesofholly He is doing well now. Last year he was diagnosed with a large aggressive benign brain tumor (Menegioma-caused by radiation he had for Leukemia treatment). He had it successfully removed last December. He just finished a course of Proton therapy (a less invasive form of Radiation) to prevent a recurrence. He lived at the American Cancer Society Hope lodge in NYC for 6 weeks. It was an incredible experience for him!
Sending you and your family happy, healthy & healing thoughts.

Prayers definitely are helping, thank you.
On the Jacob Chart reach out to him and see if he can provide you a chart for your initials. He seems very nice.
That is an excellent idea. I am so going to do that. Thank you for the suggestion!
