New to your channel but I love your posts so far. I also have the 1 diabetes and it’s a struggle but it’s doable. Yay to new science and insulin pumps/sensors. I LOVE my pump. I was diagnosed at 17 and that was a very rough time. I’m 37 now, 2 kids and a more balanced health now. Happy to be a new subscriber!

Thank you for sharing your projects. I have recently downloaded MarkupR-XP but don't have PDF patterns yet. I am so glad you mentioned that, with a little perseverance we can manipulate scanned patterns. I do not have a scanner at this time so will have to reach out to my UPS Store. Your Mary Morgan Sampler is gorgeous. I can understand how you loved every colorful stitch. Thank you for helping me better understand the different Silk Threads available. New subscriber !! 😄

When you scan a chart with multiple pages how do you get them all together in mark up? I have Mark up but I am not sure how to get all the pages in one file. Ty in advance

Markup XP is fidley (is that a word) sometimes. I had a problem downloading a chart. Check out his web page. You can contact him there. I sent him chart I was having a problem with. He returned chart all fixed within 24 hrs

Good show! I think wise to focus on larger projects and not to get distracted with smalls - more bang for your buck so to say! Your work is impressive as is your choice of fabrics, the hardest part for me. Loved the linen show. And yes, if you dye, I will be quite interested, keep me posted.

Oh, I'm going to do a conversion on Jane Atkinson as well and here's what I've noticed: Carol's flowers (called for silks) look to be a little more on the orange peach side than Emily's (called for DMC). Now, I could very well be mistaken, recordings, pictures and background fabric taken into effect, that's what I see. I would really be interested if you notice the same thing when you kit yours up. I certainly won't be doing silks. I'll probably do mostly DMC's with a few over dyes thrown in wherever there are larger parts of fill in. Lovely stuff, great info. Such great video's and I just devour them! thank you

What an incredible group of stitches!!! The perfection of colors on the peacock, MFE single color design and Oh your blue and red npi’s . What fun start to finish . Inspiring FT.

I never cut my thread too short when putting it on my floss drops even though I stitch only over one. Because you always end up with left over floss and this will be used again in other projects where you stitch 2 over 2. Its better to leaven them long and pull one string out, cut it in half and put the other half back onto the floss drop. You can also use floss cards with two holes next to each other. One for the uncut floss and one for the cut ones. So you can use the cut ones first.

You are so enjoyable, just like the Saltbox Stitcher. So natural and relaxed, engaging us, all the way.

Best wishes for your health. Nice to see someone who enjoys the big samplers and another Katie Strachan fan. I need to rewatch that silk episode. It was packed with so much info on one silk versus another. Your MFE project is lovely. I have one planned for a start later this year from Jakob but it’s not that dense in stitches. So nice to know I can order directly from NPI if I want. Working from a yarn ball works for me and I would love a color card from them.

I totally get the "monogamous" stitching. I usually only have a big project and a little project going on at one time. Having a ton of WIPs around would probably make me feel a bit crazy.

Yeah I hear you with stains on linen. I had a male cat we are fostering mark in my box of 6-7 pieces of fiber on a whim. I was gonna throw it out and thought you know what they’re already ruined I’m just gonna wash them. Washed them in my machine on hot with heavy duty soap and not only did the smell come out but they look the same. Thank goodness I didn’t throw them away!
