If I had room in my 65 yr old brain, I'd love to take classes, live and learn has served me well 😊 I've always thought it would be nice if we could all get a glimpse of who we are 20 yrs later, when we're 20. I learned a lot from my mom being an avid gardener, didn't realize that til I was older. I would appreciate whatever you'd like to share, I'm only on YT, so it's always nice when my YT friends share here too.
Go you. When I left school ( I am 58) I wanted to do Horticulture at the Polytech, but I was too scared ! cos I didn't know anything abt going to further education and I lacked confidence, so I got a job that was offered to me basically which I hated, and it was inside and I wanted to be outside , Now my kids have left home I am in love with gardening again, and would love to work in Horticulture. and would love to do a course. you are never to old to do one. I would love to know how to design a garden space..my son has a new garden and I am "designing" it 🤣🤣 It's actually harder than I thought. There is quite a lot to think abt, esp when he is a non gardener.
I might look into this. I checked out MSU's master gardener course and they have changed it to first requiring completion of their Foundations of Gardening course, which I would be happy to do BUT there is one weekly session for 2.5 hours that must be attended live (on zoom) but its smack dab in the middle of a work day - Tuesdays from 10 - 12:30 (which I find odd -- how do 9-5 ers do this??) . I was pretty bummed to see that.... mayne I will check this out because I want to take some courses.
That’s what I’ve found with a lot of classes too! They’re in the middle of a weekday. The college classes are more expensive but there is more flexibility in the program of working at your own pace.

It took my so long to get over the “I’m too old to do this” mentality. I can’t believe I was telling myself that in my 20s 😆

How much are you paying per class? 1k?
Yeah, it’s about $400 per credit hour.
