When I was a kid, way back in the 80s, I was a tomboy. I loved to race bmx bikes, play football, shoot cans off fenceposts on horseback. I hated wearing dresses and makeup. I always had skinned knees and elbows and love getting dirty. Fortunately, my parents weren't morons, who thought that made me boy and ruined my life with hormone blockers. Otherwise I wouldn't be the proud mother of a terrific daughter 💓

The mother of the “trans” child totally contradicted herself. She said trans regret isn’t what she’s concerned with, she is only worried about making sure her child feels accepted so she doesn’t “end herself”! Doesn’t she realize that trans regret often ends with the individual actually does end themselves. So very sad!
If she isn't worried about trans regret, she clearly hasn't done proper research. Trans regret is more common than people think.
Let children go through puberty naturally. Many change their minds after puberty. It's a very important stage of development.

Doctors won't perform hysterectomies on women unless they have at least one child, are over the age of 40+ and/or currently have cancer. Even with a history of uterine cancer in my family, digestive issues, hormonal issues for the past 25 years, pre-menopausal and have a 16 year old son, I can't seem to find a doctor who will "sterilize me" until I am diagnosed with cancer yet I could get puberty blockers for my son if he was transgender? What the actual heck is going on in the world? What's right has become wrong and what's wrong has become right...we're truly living in the Twilight Zone.

They don’t research transition regret cause you aren’t supposed to question these choices. If we question people, they say we are intolerant and taking away their rights. But freedom of religion is a right. But you can’t hurt another person in exercising that right. You can be trans but harming a child with puberty blockers is wrong. Forcing your decision on anyone else is wrong. I am usually all about parental rights. But when you talk about chemical castration with puberty blockers and lopping off body parts or binding them, you should lose those rights. You should be getting your own mental health services!
Candace there are two problems at the root of all this madness. 1. People are now rejecting the concept that our republic was built on of “equal opportunity.” They want “equity.” But equity means entitlement. It implies that everyone is equally worthy of every thing/position/income level/job/ect. 2. People are not being taught or living by “personal responsibility.” Personal responsibility implies that all people are NOT worthy of every thing/position/income level/job/ ect. It implies that you have to work for what you want. You have to become educated, be qualifies, and/or make/build something. I am not sure if this is laziness, arrogance, or both. But it is so much easier to tell people they deserve equity than it is to convince them they need to do the work and earn something!
It's interesting that the doctor asking the woman if she has researched trans-regret was perceived immediately as transphobic. It is a medical professionals job to weigh in and inform patients of risks versus benefits of every procedure or medication. So to ask a parent about researching the risk of trans-regret is very much the doctor doing his/her job.

@@Thesparesam more than likely an MD would refer them to a child psychiatrist, somebody qualified in recognizing whether the child is in fact nonbinary or trans and the ability to help them work through the appropriate pathways. Honestly if I was concerned that my child was so fragile of emotion that the possibility of ending her life was a real thing, a mental health professional would be the first step. Even as a Nurse in mental health, I am not qualified by any means to diagnose any of those needs but recognizing them and not having a knee jerk negative reaction to the doctors questions and guidance is important. That's how we learn.
I was brainwash by the far left into thinking Candice was an airhead who hasn't got a clue about the real world. She's actually done a wonderful job for me personally, in terms of my mental health. You know when you're about to give up on life, she was a brilliant voice either anecdotally or factually, she is a wonderful human being with tremendous values. Thank you.

Yeah probably because everything is a probability. however....one is risking your child killing themselves and one is risking... basically being late to go into puberty.
Also I'd like to add.... People can only use puberty blockers when they START puberty not before...so it's not like they're 7 years old. it's more likely to be ages as young as 10 and as old as 14 which at any age...You can see a pediatrician at any age as long as you're comfortable enough...so they're probably not as young as you think. You also have to have a history of gender dysphoria or proof that the child always wanted to be the opposite gender.
Also you can continue puberty after getting off of puberty blockers

My son went through stage of being very 'girly' liking girls' clothes, wanting long hair. He started when he was 2 with no influence from me or his father. In fact, his father was very against it. We went with the flow, let him play girly things, and he hung around with a group of girls. Fast forward to today, he's now 11. he's a masculine boy who plays in the mud, climbs trees get into trouble (😒) and plays with sticks.
I think kids say they want to be different people when they are younger, but with age, they change. Unless parents are pushing their ideologies on them.
My 4 year old step daughter said she is a dinosaur yesterday. Then she said her name was monkey. Imagine encouraging a child to transition into one of those.

Lol as a fat person myself he was ridiculous for assuming it’s everyone else’s problem because you are overweight. I have a hard time losing weight because of my health so I maybe overweight for awhile but it still doesn’t make it everyone else’s problem nor is it fatphobic. Fatphobia is bullying not a business not having chairs that fit you. The only places that really should have wider stronger chairs for overweight people are healthcare facilities.
As someone who is overweight, while most of what you said is true, I don’t think it’s just about it being “everyone else’s problem”. It’s just about making sure that everyone has a comfortable seat. Being overweight is a problem but that doesn’t make it fair to the people who are naturally thicker. I’m never going to be thin, that’s not my body type. Sitting in a chair my thighs don’t fit in sucks lol, so I think the manufacturers maybe need to make adjustments is all :)

As a parent myself. I’m disappointed in what other parents will do for their kids. Kids cant get a tattoo or drink booze but they can change their gender? How is that not child abuse. I live in Metro Detroit and genuinely we had billboards, commercials on tv and youtube, pamphlets, and really any form of media pushing the black community to get the vaccine. @@Hoodylp25 actually most schools now have a generic permission form for parents to sign in amongst all other start of school forms to give permission for their children to be filmed/ photographed. It had been for schools plays, advertisement, yearbooks, class pics ect. So most sign Not even thinking what else their children could end up in. I think we now need a more detailed permission form that would specify what parent allows including tiktok with check on what boxes is OK or teachers should have to get each childs parents permission to post anything on any media with their child in it.
@LABGMA1 I replied earlier and then realized I misread something, so I trashed my other comment😂 exactly, I think that’s a very true point, needing to modify release forms further to specify things that include social media…. anyway I have friends who are teachers/caregivers/foster parents/etc, and they are expressly forbidden from posting pictures of children in the care, unless their eyes and other identifying features are hidden (usually by putting an emoji over top in photos), in order to protect their identities. Personally, it just seems wrong to, you know, “use” kids on your social media account to serve or enhance your online presence. Or even further your personal opinion/agenda for that matter.

This was until I found out there is no swinging from whips, no cool hat, no fighting Nazis, and about 99% of it is done in the library. Kids sometimes want things without knowing the truth of it, or even knowing the truth of who they themselves really are. Making permanent, life altering decisions based on a child's current desires can have disastrous consequences.

Every day I'm glad I left the Democratic party, and went from progressive liberal to being a TRADITIONAL conservative officially registered Republican who's a proud Roman Catholic and a young guy who's highly educated. Candace Owens' husband is such a blessed man for having such a beautiful, conservative Republican traditional woman.
I Identified as transgender for four years, had three years of hormone replacement therapy and chest surgery. I profoundly regret this decision as I have come to realise that this was not the way for me to live happily and fulfilled. The idea that a doctor cannot even bring up the context of detransition is deeply disturbing. Also the mother who complained about this quoted the idea of suicide in the child. These statistics have been proven to be unchanged whether or not a trans-identified person goes through gender transition or not. In other words there is actually no difference in whether or not they will go to these lengths by transitioning them. Therefore surely it is better to go with nature and not subject to your child to sterilisation and a lifelong dependency on the medical establishment?
You will never be able to explain this to the people that need to hear it. Complete waste of time.

Just a few years ago I fully convinced myself that i was bisexual and non-binary all because I had a “friend” pushing it on me 😕
But now I'm closer to God than ever and am so happy in my own skin I was only claiming those things so I could get validation from strangers online

If a child is young enough to still have a paediatrician, then I think they're too young to be on puberty blockers, because for some children, gender dysphoria is a phase, and when parents go ahead and make drastic decisions such as placing them on puberty blockers, it's irreversible, and will have dramatic effects on that child's life. The doctor was completely right to ask whether she researched people who regret transitioning, because if the mom isn't researching all the possible outcomes then she's a pretty terrible parent.

The woman who took her child to a pediatrician and was offended that the doctor asked if they had looked up "trans regret": let's back up here a moment and say that your child needed minor surgery. Would any loving parent be upset with a doctor that explained the risks involved with the surgery or encouraged the parents to do their homework on the pros vs. the cons of the procedure? Even if it was just a medication the doctor suggested, any parent that wouldn't ask about possible adverse reactions is negligent. So the fact that this woman is offended that the doctor is talking about negative consequences shows she's disqualified to parent her child. 🤬
Regarding the chairs, I'm overweight. The last time I took my child to an amusement park and noticed the seats were getting too tight, I thought, "I need to get serious about losing some weight so I can continue to enjoy this with my child." I honestly thought that's what anyone would think...🤔

Puberty blockers are medicines that have more of a side-effects of suppressing the hormones. It’s old-label use and must be prescribed by a real specialist. They are not a casual decision.

(This alllows parents to continue to care for their physically disabled child at home as they become adults. Not all families have access to specialized housing, lifts etc. )

Now my daughter recently was talking about how she don't mind wearing the mask and I told her that's not what it's about. When I was a young boy back in the 1960's, my two older sisters used to dress me up in their clothes and have a good giggle watching me try to walk in high heel shoes. If that happened now, I would have probably ended up being my parents third daughter.
