- Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz, (Dr D, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Heinz or Doof for short) is a 47-year-old mad scientist from the country of Drusselstein. He is the head of Doofenshmirtz Incorporated.
He tries to perpetrate what is "evil" to him by trying to dominate the entire Three State Area. Although he works hard, his plans are always thwarted by secret agent Perry the platypus
Since his birth Doofenshmirtz never had a pleasant or "normal" life. He had horrible minded parents who didn't consider his existence, didn't even show up on the day of his birth.
However, he returned again with his normal family, but they were so poor that their "beloved garden dwarf" was requisitioned. While other people could play and relax, he had to be a 24/7 garden gnome, unable to move, not even to eat or sleep.
but now is the President and CEO of the Detnerat Company, a lifestyle support company, and was also the Grand Commander of the modern Meta Liberation Army, which he ran in secret.
his new Meta Ability allows him to store up any fear, anger and/or frustration he feels and convert it into raw power. When Doofenshmirtz accesses this meta ability, his size and strength increase significantly.

I love how the fandom were treating Re Destro as like the Joker when he appeared in the manga, then the anime comes and everyone goes: “Lmao Doofenshmirtz”
I mean the manga was black and white, right? It's easy to see dark hair as green and a pale face as white. In the actual anime the happened to give him the same complection and hair as doofenshmirtz

The fact that this man came out of his childhood, as sane as he did, with a loving relationship with his daughter, instead of continuing the cycle of abuse, is nothing short of miraculous.
Clearly Doof has the second biggest dick in all of fiction, beaten out only by Master Kohga from Zelda BotW.

He had a really messed up childhood, his parents didn't show up to his birth, he was forced to be a garden gnome, he lived the the shadows while his brother got all the glory and yet he still became one of the best cartoon fathers of all time, and that's the reason he's one of my favorite characters from fiction

I would love if the lore was Doof has to leave because his daughter is going to college now (like the episode when everyone is grown) but Doof leave after 14 years (I'm gonna say that Perry died because he was probably 3 year old when the summer ends) the OWCA just disband and Doof now actually have time to improve his invention but his grief never gone out and then he eventually got his quirk which use stress as power and the stress of perry the platypus destroying his inators and the stress of never suceed and perry death has given him an unlimited amount of (unconscious) stress but he can only use a certain amount of it or his body will explode... He will eventually find how to reanimate perry the platypus
Shigaraki may have won that fight, the fandom may kinda or not love him (actually it's a very divided topic), but buffed Doofenshmirtz will never be forgotten in our hearts as to how much of a chad he is.

Funnily enough, if Doofenshmirtz had stress as a power, he'd probably be unstoppable
He once did, too. With an inator he used all his backstories as negative energy fuel to give him power, only he set it up as a tv show to avoid Perry's suspicions. Only reason he lost is because he loves his daughter and his nemesis too much

He had a comedic/psicotic personality in the manga, sadly most of His scenes where cut from the anime. Hell theres even a scene that recreate the bad day monologue from the killing joke.

Doofenshmirtz has been through so much trauma that even god himself when he was born defied the basic laws of biology just to make his existence more miserable, and despite that he can still continue to be a caring father to their daughter and clearly values human life to a high degree (multiple times he has been shown to go out of his way to preserve human life instead of just brushing it aside) and is rarely shown to cause many real problems

I feel like re-destro’s quirk is pretty much perfect for Dr . Doof, his life was quite depressing as a whole. And he is smart and calculated when he needs to.
Actually, Dr.Doof was the one that inspired Re-Destros character, thats why the quirk fits both of them
I can really see a resemblance, from both design and traits. Re-destro may seem villainous, but he is just trying to help most of the time. Similar to Dr. Doof’s inventions that are supposed to be used for destruction end up helping the world in the long run.

It’s kinda heart warming that Doof was born into pain. He was born without parents, had ocelots for parents for a short period of time, had to be a gnome even though he wanted not to, he was shunned from society, and lost his only friend, who was a balloon. He grew up to have a platypus friend who’s family is a family with a sister who wanted to bust their brothers and they never* found out. But Doof only wanted fame and to take ove a relatively small area of land to impress his mom and laugh at his better younger brother. I’m not surprised that the anime adaptation is more realistic.
