Think right now my best time to sell my three century amps? I love them. The designer that work for Randall and made these amps was a genius to come out with that kind of tone for solid state. Untill you have your hands on a 170 or 200 you will understand. The 200ll is just like the 200. But the 170 vs the 170ll is different.

Damn that sucks man!! Those old rack units have parts that wear on them after years and years. Normally you can have someone fix those. Don’t get rid of them, if you can find a tech around you that could fix them. They are great pieces of gear to have

There’s a video with my settings in it. I believe it’s the rig rundown video. And if the Aphex is ran out front of your amp, not really. If it’s ran in the effects loop then yes it makes a big difference!
fucking awesome! damn. one sold for $1600 last year. hopefully you got a hefty amount of cash. I think the one I have is a mod. It looks authentic and everything, but no model number. There were only 29 made so, Idk. its a killer fucking amp though.

Yes I am selling it but it’s to fund another Dime related amp! I already have a couple more videos with this amp, one is a comparison and the other is the “box up and shipping to…” video.

I kinda did start this channel with chasing his tone like 2 years ago and times I go back and listen to them then vs now, it’s like embarrassing to me to watch the old ones knowing where I have his rig and tone set today lol I never deleted them because it does show progress and even cringy shit deserves love lol 😂
But seriously since you said that I will continue! I do enjoy doing these videos on his tone, it’s been a fun ride from day one back in February of 2020. Bought the RG100ES in Feb, didn’t get it till March then it was game on lol 😂

How different is the century 170 to the 200
That I can’t answer honestly for you my man, I never played a C200, I’d love too!! Maybe someday lol I am getting my hands on a C170ii so there will be a comparison between those two when I get it! Stick around I have half of it done already, just waiting to get the amp to finish the rest!
The 200ll is not as loud and more gain. I own both.

How is yours so tight and you can squeel so long. Dude i have the exact same gate as you with the same settings and it dont react the same
Lol they weren’t always that way. I had to really do squeals over and over to get them to ring out to figure out how to get them with the gate. Keep working with them, really tap that harmonic.
Im still confused on the + and - db shit on the back of the gear... whats yours say? If possible lmk please.

No lol I would never own a X2. I’m not much of a fan of those amps, or any Dime signature amps. I always loved the Century and RG’s models that weren’t his signature.
