I started doing my rear pads on my 2013 Lincoln MKZ. I spun the piston until it stopped but it was out too far & I couldn't get the caliper over the disc & pads. Now I've stumbled across your video & know how it should have been done initially. My question is:now that I know to do these steps. Since I've previously turned the piston until it bottomed out...does that mean after I put it into service mode & push the piston in...is the caliper ruined?
Honestly I don't know.. I've never encountered that issue before.. now since you turned yours all the way in, their maybe. Damage to the caliper.. After entering maintenance mode, all that needed to be done was to push the piston in(like a conventional caliper). There may be damage but I am uncertain due to the fact that I have never encountered this issue.. my suggestion is to finish up the job. Exit maintenance mode and see if all is ok.. sorry I couldn't have given better advice on this matter. Have a good day.
Omg all that for brakes 😳
yes, and its only going to get more complicated if they come out with full brake by wire systems
@@JLsAutoSolution depressing I'ma stick to older cars
