I’ve been to brandmax and the best way to describe the place (for the top floor luxury department) is it’s basically eBay for luxury goods with a buy it now price but you are in a store rather than online… 80% of the goods have been worn & when I mean worn I mean… extremely wore! 19% is basically defects & damaged so for example got tears on from when people have been trying them on in the stores they came from, stains & dirt. If not that then it’s defects like the logo has came off, a zip has broke, the colour has changed. Then the remaining 1% left is actual new unused goods that have no damage or defects & is basically last seasons stock they need to get rid of BUT to find a piece like that is a needle in a hay stack! It’ll go extremely quickly & you have to get there before it’s busy. Most of the prices are extortion in my opinion especially for badly used goods. There is a section of strictly new & unused stuff but the price is basically the same if not much under retail price so I don’t see the point you might as well go into the actual store it’s from & buy new. Overall it’s not as good as what people make it out to be especially the influencers on Instagram & TikTok, Hoxton has to be the most genuine reviewer To date & shows & says it exactly how it is. If you think your going to go there to find a guaranteed bargain don’t hold your breath… but if you like the likes of tkmaxx and understand that it takes few trips to find a good piece & bargain then good ahead & visit.
It's well known that people go in here with pre-written labels and stick them over the existing labels to try and knock most of the cost off. It became such a pervasive issue that the store started marking up prices massively, knowing people would come in with labels, so they end up selling them sometimes even for more than they actually want to. That's why it seems such a 'mixed bag'.... you would have seen items in there on the shelf for £30 in the past, now they're labelled up as £180, so somebody comes in and tries to get £100 off by over-labelling it to £80, which is £50 more the original £30 so the store wins anyway (those numbers are obviously just examples).
Ah wicked man, it was great to meet you and your mate that day, don't blame on the jacket, I heard lots of Burberry stuff has arrived, the outlet us hit and miss but I'll be back for sure aha, take care bud, hope you're on the facebook group - facebook.com/groups/HoxtonsMarketplace I met a few other channel followers that day also, including one of the staff members aha.
Big fan of Valentino here (on sale obviously) as imo the quality of materials etc is top notch. Plus they ONLY manufacture in Italy. All those items in the vid were OLD OLD seasons bits and still trying to charge silly money so don't doubt they are just sitting. Seems in the UK fraser group are incapable of offering things are a really good price even in outlets. Can get brand new Stoney on Sale from online overseas shops for less than these outlet prices....the shameful thing is they make people think they are getting a bargain :/
The influences on TikTok make this place seem like a gold mine. I live 10 minutes away, and I can assure you that it is not. Years ago, I would say it was easier to find good items for cheap here, but now it's not worth the trip unless you go in daily and just wait for any of the new stuff to come out.
Very interesting when I just Google mapped it that Sports Direct have their global distribution centre literally next to it! Would make sense that all returns from the Frasers Group go back to that DC and they can just flog it there rather than having to re-stock it etc!
When it comes to sneakers, is it a case of athletes returns? The hoodies I’d be hitting those rails. Palm Angels isn’t for me, Rishi Sunak loves it though.
You were soo right about it being like sports direct with stacking high. I used to like house of frasier but now that’s like sports direct selling Patrick and junk. And no refunds! That man is monopolising and ruining our high street.
Brandmax in Ireland used have loads of D&G, Stone Island and other cool stuff in it like a more upmarket TK Maxx but they completely took everything out two years ago now it's just their crappy in house brands like Slazenger, Firetrap, No Fear etc. There's literally nobody on the whole top floor most of the time you go in it's that bad.
This place is crazy and why they're bothering to put those PA puffers back on the racks I have no clue who the hell wants the item with half the letters missing. This is the problem with quality nowadays completely gone out the window if you're paying over 500 for a jacket the logo should be embroidered on not that cheap rubber lettering that always peels they're mugging people off in the worse way
the cheek of these companies still trying to profit off their damaged goods is poor form. They should be aiming to break even really. 300 jumper with a hole loses 90% of its value, not 20%.👎🏼👎🏼

That’s mental
Where is your information about this from? Seems the most stupid thing I've ever heard.
Hi mate, I’m the lad from the video, was really nice to meet you. Was buzzing to see myself in this vid 😁 didn’t end up buying the jacket 😂

I've heard similar stories

The sale labels are the same as sports direct, give it a few years the frazer group will own every retailer,’.
Oh man, hope not.
This guys videos are always good and great advice I've learnt a lot from him ,,, keep flying my guy your educating people
Really appreciate you mate, got some real bangers over the next few weeks hope you enjoy them.
They use the same simpsons font as house of fraser in bham, wonder if it's similar?
This is a bit like looking through an op shop, except the prices are much more expensive.
Now that's a video I want to be recommended finally TH-cam got me
It's like an indoor car boot for struggling labels !!!

Fraser group owns Flannels, doesn't it? Their website link pops up with Flannels searches.
Mike Ashley, is making designer wears common and tacky.
It already was. All the grifters were it anyway
Used to be Sports Direct logistics warehouse
Thanks for sharing that, it seems they used to own the retail park, also their head office
really good informative video 👌🏽
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
Why would you pay £800 for a jacket that is made in China and the true value is about £6? It’s just ridiculous.
It’s like the charity shop in my high street but the charity shop stuff is in a lot better condition
How much was palm jacket
I belive they were £100-150, can't be 100% unfortunately

Some of the pricing made little sense
i used to wear Valentino in the 90's don't think it's as big as a brand as it used to be
Basically second hand
It’s all tat!
All the staff are on the pay roll of the resellers here you give them £20 and they will discount anything for you
Home of sports direct
Indeed
if that shop had everything for 20 quid id struggle to spend anything
Greetings thanks for sharing this I will not be going there. Tkmax is better in Manchester
Waste man time with this dump😂
Unfollow and find something else you enjoy.

Salute Hox 🫡
Used to be good about 4 to 5 years ago. Now it's a waste of time. All the stuff is way overpriced and it's all the crap that nobody wants.

I mean who’s going to buy a hoodie with a bloody great hole in it for 80£ 😂
I mean I have been there wouldn’t say it no better than heart foundation 😅
Absolute dross
Load of tat
Wow, looks like a pile of overpriced nonsense!
It’s a load of unwearable sh-e
