    I think you should just reinstall windows, if you have anything precious on there, try to back it up somehow, but you may struggle without access to the operating system. If you can, get a connector for the hard drive and plug it into another computer, then back things up, and put the hard drive back into the computer.

    • @cheeseman498
      @cheeseman498 ปีที่แล้ว

      they can make a live linux usb and upload important things to another usb or an sd drive then reinstall windows and restore data

    • @0truer
      @0truer ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cheeseman498 They could do that, honestly, laptop of that age should probably be running Linux for the long run, it's specs won't meet the newest Windows version. Where as Ubuntu 23.04 could probably run on that just fine.

    most laptops like that have an easily accessible hard drive you can take it out and buy a cable that connects to usb. you can take all of the inportant stuff out and reinstall windows on the hdd after you reinstall windows you can put the information back on or just start on a fresh install

  • @truewoodster9819
    @truewoodster9819 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    booting into safe mode might give you access to your files n stuff. hold f4 on the boot screen and it should put you into it. if not i reckon you just re-install windows. You could remove the hard drive from the computer and plug it into another machine using just a generic SATA drive dock or connector and recover your files onto a USB or some sort of removable medium

  • @rantzntirades1104

  • @aiminever17

    either replacing the hard drive with another one (or for the better, get an ssd) or reinstalling windows should do it.

    when people say reinstall windows, they mean using a bootable flash drive.

  • @NCSLivestreams
    @NCSLivestreams ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think the proplem might be the hard drive, because when it tries to continue with the update it cant write it into the hard drive because of a damaged block. Try replacing the hard drive or reinstalling windows.

  • @fedes1to
    @fedes1to ปีที่แล้ว +1

    if reinstalling windows doesnt work try to reflash the bios using the laptops method, it might be corrupted. if that still doesnt work try using a live usb to boot into linux and check if the partition table is correct, check also for bad sectors on the hdd.

    • @fedes1to
      @fedes1to ปีที่แล้ว

      btw the battery might refer to the CMOS battery, not the laptops one, you might have to check that

  • @WindowsXPboi

    This seems like a GPU/GPU driver fault or maybe a failed display. If you have any external displays you can try that, if it still doesn't work, the GPU might be the problem. If it can't be fixed you can get an hdd adapter to plug the HDD in to another computer to get the data off of it. Edit: Nice you got it working!

    Spam f1,f2,f12,f8,del or esc on startup this will boot into the bios then try booting it
    Then shut the laptop down (from bios) and remove storage backup all data
    Reformat the drive
    Copy a windows install onto the drive
    Use the bios to boot from the drive
    The move the drive back to the laptop
    Try booting from it
