Crankshaft position sensor lol had the same problem on mine its about $75 at advanced auto parts easy fix saves yourself from a lot of future problems if you havent fixed it by now already

Do they repair it there or do you have to or take it somewhere

So unless you take it to a shop and ask them to fix it and put their part on and pay extra for them to do it youd have to do it yourself but it's fairly easy to do it yourself its just one bolt and a wire connector to unplug and its in the front near the bottom of the motor

Could be your gas cap being loose my mom has the same car and it triggered the engine light

Try map sensor

Crankshaft postition sensor on the elantra sends the car into limp mode when driving or on start map sensor is normally only on start and you wont get above 25 if you're lucky
