Plus indoors are harder than outside so times would be much quicker for Noah in a Outdoor 4x4. Considering his fitness as 100m & 200m runner plus his overall consistency this year, I don't believe he would jeopardise the team and would have a solid run. Personally, the only way I see him making the team is if he wins the 3 Golds prior to the 4x4. Otherwise, I don't see it happening from a political standpoint. As I stated with Gabby & Sydney, although ran 400m this year, they never competed it at Trials. So if you or anyone else believe allowing non 400m Olympic trials runners a spot on the team like a Gabby Thomas or Sydney, then Lyles without a doubt is a option IF he wins 3 Golds in Paris. We didn't have a substantial set of men wanting to train and be world leaders in the 400 at mass! 6 men can run the 4x4 and we still need 2 for the mixed. Noah, and both Quincys are running, period. Why would he not!? As far as I'm concerned, he is more trained for it than those who chose to do the 400m and have yet to dominate since the last Games. The US has had a series of men in the 400 in the past history of Games that valued sweeping the 400m podium. I'm for the men who are ready. No matter what, take those who are consistently ready, and our men in the 400m have acted as though the 4x4 is automatic and have taken an entitlement approach to it it seems and that's not going to return golds at mass on a global level at things like the Olympic Games. To run rounds an all of them be sub 20 Noah gives you 9.9 9.8 9.8 and then 20. 19.59 19.51 at USA trails in the span of a week. Sprinters like that run 300’s and 350s at practice. Theres no doubt in my mind he could split 43 with a running start.
