Ron Perlman's one of my all-time greatest heroes!! Love him as Slade, Clayface, The Lich, Mr. Lancer on Danny Phantom, the Stabbington Brothers in Tangled, Hellboy, and his roles in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters and Looney Tunes Back in Action!
If you haven't yet you have to see a movie called "the city of lost children". He couldn't have been more than 25-30 years old. It's a truly bizarre but entertaining foreign film. But that is how I found out that he is totally fluent in French! Who knew?
While I was listening Ron talking about performing a role as a way to enter a complete different character or personality respect himself a quote came to my mind: "When a person is lucky enough to live inside a story, to live inside an imaginary world, the pains of this world will disappear. For as long the story goes on, reality no longer exists." Paul Auster
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is where I first heard Jim's voice. Blade II is when I first saw Ron Perlman. It's such a strong contrast when you've got something as innocent, peaceful, and joyful as Winnie the Pooh and then something so dark, vicious, and depraved as Blade II. I never quite forgave my older brother for putting on Blade II while we were up at our hilltop cabin. And it was nighttime and raining so I didn't want to go outside to avoid watching it. Even though Ron's character was a skinheaded Austrian who was easily dispatched by Blade later... I admired that he wasn't afraid of the Reaper vampires.
This is the best Ron pearlman interview I’ve ever seen, really brought out another side to him that I hadn’t seen before and I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation, thanks for sharing
@34:00 what Ron Pearlman is talking about 😮 so awesome to hear it acknowledged. I believe the arts really are aiding humanity and the collective consciousness. What a B.A. Ron, your the man!
Josh Brolin in the Marvel films is literally just an impersonation of Ron playing Thanos, only Ron wouldn't have to stand on a stage to be intimidating.
Fallout voice actor’s reunion :) i really happy to see them together either the topic is not about Fallout , i grew up with listening their voices and some actings :) thank you for everything …
Such a shame Guillermo del Toro didn't get to make a third Hellboy. Would have loved to see Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones again but i guess that ship has sailed 😞

Love Ron, He called out Bob Iger and didn't hold back. Beautiful. A man of the people.
Not gonna lie, I never would've thought that i would see Ron and Jim in the same room together... but I am so here for it!!✊🏼🔥
The Master and the Narrator sit for a chat. Awesome.
There's no way Ron is in his 70s. He looks great! This was a fantastic episode. Ron seems like a real humble & down to earth guy.
He is, I met him at a con and he signed my Deathstroke Funko Pop
It took him a while to age into his looks!

Don't forget Killer Croc from The Batman 2004.
The freakin' BEAST!
I wonder if his character from Pacific Rim ever got his shoe back.

Don't forget Josiah in the Magnificent Seven television series.
Always great to see Ron Perlman, and he gives such a wonderful interview! An American Treasure!!
Good to see you, Ron. Loved your book BTW, really opened up my thinking in new ways. Thank You😊

It really is cool to watch these. To be a fly on the wall while some incredible people have a conversation and share life stories

I like Ron Perlman as Hellboy
That's what made me love his acting.
I'm grateful this podcast exists, big fan of voice acting, and always have enjoyed both of your work!
Love Jim & Ron !!!

What a B.A. Ron, your the man!
As someone who has had a crush on Ron Perlman and Josh Brolin forever, hearing him talking about the Cable casting was a hoot. Amazing podcast!
One of my favorite interviews!
"Lord Hood" and winnie having a chat love all your work. But Halo 2 and 3 are my all time favourites of yours
Ron perlman and Jim Cummings look great hope to get to act with them someday as an actor that is what I hope myself 🎉😅
I agree with what Ron is saying I just take one step at a time and what ever role comes my way I take that opportunity 🎉
This is how I approached my various jobs, be it acting, working for newspapers and TV it saves a lot of stress
@@bletheringfoolawesome 👍😎
I had never seen Asher, but it was on TV the other day and it was excellent. Here in the UK
My first time being aware of Ron as an actor was Alien Resurrection. He was such a delightful smart-ass-hole.
Oh yeah, totally, also the gem of Sons of Anarchy
GREAT GATSBY!
It’s Mr Lancer
Josh Brolin in the Marvel films is literally just an impersonation of Ron playing Thanos, only Ron wouldn't have to stand on a stage to be intimidating.
I was bummed out when I realized it was Brolin and not Pearlman playing Thanos.
asoon as i hear rons voice i immediately think of hell boy
Fallout voice actor’s reunion :) i really happy to see them together either the topic is not about Fallout , i grew up with listening their voices and some actings :) thank you for everything …
I would love to see H. Jon Benjamin on this channel. Dude is like the unofficial voice of Adult Swim. Also, Kyle Kinane, the voice of Comedy Central.
31:38 I wonder what would happen to Pinocchio if he said, "I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna apologize."
Such a shame Guillermo del Toro didn't get to make a third Hellboy. Would have loved to see Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones again but i guess that ship has sailed 😞
woah, cool
Ron perlman did a voice in an American tail 3
Like getting angry at a photographer for taking pictures of him in a wheelchair isn't a joke. Lol
YO LIL RONNIE
aw, Winnie the Poo and Slade should have exchanged lines
I always wanted a Hellboy 3, but never got it 😔
I wanna hear winnie the pooh do the opening to new Vegas
Anybody?
The city of lost children
Eh?
Floyd from shadows of evil with Winnie the Pooh
the "1000 ways to die" guy
I wish there was any hope in his words now. There is nothing now.
Both were in fallout

Ron's feeling imposter syndrome.
This guy is so woke 😂
Comments like this make me like him even more.
Don't agree with his politics and he should stay off of Twitter but he is a terrific actor
You’d be surprised at Jim’s politics then lol. Unless you agree with the right winged vile craptastic crap.
I don't agree with him either but he should get to speak his mind just like everyone else. That's democracy.
