Heavy traffic at Hannover Airport (HAJ / EDDV, Germany) during Cebit times

The Cebit was one of the world's largest trade fairs for information technology and took place annually from 1986 to 2018 at the Hanover Fairground. Visitors from all over the world traveled to Hanover to find out about the latest technology. At the time of the Cebit, Hanover Airport (Icao: EDDV / Iata: HAJ, Germany) was very busy, airlines headed for Hanover that otherwise don't have Hanover in their flight schedule, others sent planes that otherwise didn't fly to Hanover. When can you see a Boeing 747 and a Boeing 767 of British Airways at the same time in Hanover ? Finally, you can see the take off of a Tupolev TU-154M of Siberia Airlines (today S7 Airlines) on the northern runway 27R.

Als Hannoveraner und ehemaliger Flugbegleiter der Lufthansa kann ich mich noch sehr gut an die goldenen Zeiten der Hannover Messen erinnern. Da sind wir mehrmals täglich mit Jumbos zwischen Frankfurt und Hannover hin- und hergeflogen. Und die waren meist voll besetzt!
Diese Zeiten sind längst vorbei.
Heute gibt's nur noch wenige Flüge nach Frankfurt, viele Verbindungen wurden von der Lufthansa auf die Bahn gewechselt.

Damals hatte man noch eine gewisse Anzahl an verschiedenen Lfz Mustern zur Auswahl! Dagegen ist es heutzutage geradezu langweilig!
