+The Lion of Tokyo I mean its been going on at least since the solo of Don't Fear the Reaper, Ritchie Blackmore and Yngwie Malmsteen use middle eastern scales in the late 70's and 80's as well.
I heard of this band from my friend Atticus TheDeathMetaller and while I am an atheist, I can agree that Christians, Jews and Muslims should be peaceful with each other which is what I heard this band advocates for. Plus, the music is badass.
When the lyrics came to "who cares if you are muslim or a jew", it brought me to tears. Why we have to fight each other over religion? If God loves us, maybe he reveals Himself over different visions... this song is powerful!
Myrath and Orphaned Land are THE BEST Oriental Metal bands!!! I'm Catholic but specially I love the peace message of this guys!!! They're a good example for start to make a way of peace in the World.
I'm always moved to tears every time I hear this song, because I believe in the message of this song: Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God, so we shouldn't be at war with each other, but learn to accept each other as children of God. God bless Kobi Farhi and Orphaned Land for their efforts in bringing peace in the middle east through metal.
Although I'm Buddhist and I don't believe in God, I think this song is beautiful and gives a strong message for those who do. We need to respect each other's religions, specially when they believe in the same deity, and don't blame each other due to the differences among the abrahamic religions :)
This clip is laden with so many meanings! Both the music and singing are perfect! "Evil falls on each of us, there's nothing new / Who cares if you're a Muslim or a Jew / The awakened ones are nothing but a few / And the one to make the difference now is you!" YES! YES! YESSS!!!
I'm a kid of the 80s, had one Orphaned Land record in the late 90s, just listened to it for the music back then. I went to see Orphaned Land live in concert once in 2010, but the style didn't fit my then more aggressive taste anymore, so I quietly forgot about them again relatively quickly. Now, by pure coincidence, I've come to listen to this song that I didn't even know existed until a few seconds ago. And stumbling over this song couldn't have come at a better time. I, a die-hard atheist, am currently involving myself in some (self-motivated) historical research regarding the origins of current monotheisms. Completely independent of this song, I have come to the same conclusion as its message: all 3 major monotheisms (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) are rooted in the same Hebrew monotheism, which in turn stems from the (very short-lived) Egyptian monotheism named Atenism. Brief historical excursion: Moses and pharaoh Akhenaten lived in Egypt at the same time. Akhenaten died at some point, Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt 20 or 30 years after. Moses is said to have been abandoned by his parents (to save him from Egyptian pogrome) and raised by an Egyptian pharaoh. Moses and Akhenaten were born in the same decade, and we all know how vague and often contradictory ancient dates can be. So either Moses and Akhenaten were raised and educated in the same household, i.e. that of Amunhotep III, Akhenaten's father - or Moses actually was Akhenaten. I'm not the first to theorise this, even Sigmund Freud of all people wrote a book about it in the late 1930s. I love that their video so often shows the symbol of the rising sun, because Atenism, the true origin of all current monotheisms, was the worship of the energy of the sun, usually depicted the deity as a sun disc, which previously was just a partial element of depictions of Amun Ra, the sun deity in the previous polytheistic Egyptian belief. I loved especially that the lyrics mention the "the light", because Atenism not just worshipped the energy of the sun, but was a "religion of light", therefore all Atenistic temples were completely open buildings without rooves or walls, just pillars and borders, so that as much light as possible could enter at any time. In depictions of Aten, rays of light in the form of squiggly lines are often used to portray the light that emanated from the sun, i.e. the energy passing life from the sun down to humanity. I also noticed that the lyrics mention the "hand", although I suspect it might be a different symbolism, a simple contrast to the "clenched fist" that must symbolize war founded in god/s or religion. With regard to Atenism, the sun light rays that symbolized the sun's energy were sometimes shown with a hand symbol at their ends, passing life in the form of an Ankh symbol (the sign for eternal life) on to humans, animals and earth under it. So ... wow. This video and song took me by surprise. In a very positive way. I don't believe in any gods, but I agree that "all is one" concerning the big 3 monotheisms. (Supportive fun fact for free: in all 3 major monotheisms, the first humans on earth have the same names. Adam and Eve. In Quran, they are Adam and Havva, but that's because Eve is just the English translation of the Hebrew name for her, which was Hawwah. It's because all 3 stories were derived from the same original source scripture.)
Lyrics We're the orphans from the holy land, the tears of jerusalem And in darkness we have prayed and swore to rise up once again We are the sons of the blazing sun Sharing our faith through the barrel of a gun Walk on holy water yet we burn Brothers of the orient stand as one An ancient promise in an orphaned land A clenched fist becomes an open hand Armed forces spill their blood on holy sands Again and again we fail to see that all is one Words like venom through our veins they run Weaving a web of deception hope is gone Shall we re-live the pain of wars before? Or shall we be the light, the new folklore? Evil falls on each of us, there's nothing new Who cares if you're a muslim or a jew The awakened ones are nothing but a few And the one to make the difference now is you From the middle eastern lands we ride, all children of abraham Our only sword, the light within, that burns as bright as sun Wer're the orphans from the holy land, the keepers of or-shalem So we bow to you our warriors for being simple men
Caution: this song doesn't mean what we are thinking . You'll notice horns and illuminiati symbol several times in this video. As an atheist I find this band inspiring and the sound is beautiful. I Hope some day all these religions can get along. I am so tired of all this, "My father is better than your father" garbage that results in so much killing. +AlphaOmega Sheep The difference is, people like you are killing for an imaginary being that doesn't interfere with our reality on earth at all and is indifferent to us, IF of course that sort of quantum power even exists, which you can never prove and have zero evidence for. As a Christian I say you don't have to stop believing. Keep searching your heart and soul. Keep seeking peaceful solutions to mans evil intentions. There is nothing wrong with asking for guidance from other sources. Just know that what ever you accept is the truth in your heart and pray upon it. wow...i just discover this great band on Spotify... wonderful mix of metal and middle east traditional music....i get sad when i read some peoples comments.. how can one comment "war is fine by me" ... the lyrics is about how we all are human beings as HarverTheSlayer already pointed out... we usually get along fine as long as the"leaders" dont throw gasoline on the fire... thank god for music cause no religiuos boundaries there.
I'm officially in love with the music of Orphaned Land and Kobi's voice. I've got it known not long ago but I feel like I'm addicted. Oh, and hail from Hungary, all is one.
This is an absolutely amazing song in any way you slice it and dice it. Wonderful video too. Love this so much. Much love to Orphaned Land. Keep on rocking🙏😍❤️😻🙏
As I was just listening to the full album streaming, it was not until I heard part of the lyrics in "All is one" that I actually observed the album's/band's logo. I coudn't agree more, we'd probably have much less wars if such thing were understood. Great job spreading that message.
There is an interview with singer Kobi Fahr where he says that if the conflict was given over to musicians to handle it would be resolved within a week. Seeing them in Melbourne in 10 days.
only religiously traumatized and indoctrinated people. we all know that the institutional religions are all corrupted by the dark and serve only as a tool of enslaving humanity, making them give away their innate power. WE ARE ALL ONE as in being fractal parts of the one ultimate consciousness that is the source of all existence - experiencing itself through us. so in essence we are all god/goddess/the source which loves us unconditionally and anyone who wants to tell you that god is a judgmental douchebag in the clouds is either just stupid or not having the best of intentions.
I think it's funny that the average guys on the ground like us have no problem with each other, the people who really push the agenda of hate are the ones in charge and who stand to benefit from it.
Woowwwww. Fantastic, amazing, great ! No words to describe this song !! Beautiful ! Congratulations Orphaned Land for your ART and MISSION in such a divided world. Greetings from your brazilian fan.

Great Music.... Great Attitude... Great Message... This song rocks, in so many ways that it could be impossible to explain... I do not belong to any religion, but in the end... All is one
I must laugh out loud at the people of this planet. Here is music. From the heart of the universe and the people are deaf to it. Argue until hell freezes over, or until all the cows come home, there is only one tribe of the true one, and that is all of us. We are the tribe. If we insist on separate minds, it's okay too, it will all come together in the end. Trust that to be the truth. All hail!!!
Written more than 10 years ago and its message is especially relevant to what is happening today.
Myrath and Orphaned Land.
Who would have thought Middle-eastern tones would go so well with metal/hard rock?
It's beautiful.
I honestly always thought the two would be perfect match :D

metal tends to sound good on a lot of instuments. guitar, violin, cello, piano, sitar, banjo, mandolin, saxaphone, and many others
actally this is not a middle east tones , this is a north African ones . and yes they have differences
This song is 10 years old and unfortunately it's more relevant than it has been in a long time.

Exactly in the same boat.

Brothers of the orient stand as one
An ancient promise in an orphaned land
A clenched fist becomes an open hand

He has worked with OL before
I am american and this band is fantastic. So inspiring and unique. The use of eastern melodies and instruments gives them such a special quality about them

The Rock/Metal world is ONE world! Greetings from a Hard Rock guitar player from Belgium! We are all together! Christian, Muslim, Jew, etc.
Wow, just wow. This is really amazing, such a unique sound. For me it feels like when I discovered the band Nightwish, now 23 years ago.
Here is the lyrics.
All Is One
We're the orphans from the holy land, the tears of Jerusalem
And in darkness we have prayed and swore to rise up once again
We are the sons of the blazing sun
Sharing our faith through the barrel of a gun
Walk on holy water yet we burn
Brothers of the orient stand as one
An ancient promise in an orphaned land
A clenched fist becomes an open hand
Armed forces spill their blood on holy sands
Again and again we fail to see that all is one
Words like venom through our veins they run
Weaving a web of deception hope is gone
Shall we re-live the pain of wars before?
Or shall we be the light, the new folklore?
Evil falls on each of us, there's nothing new
Who cares if you're a Muslim or a Jew
The awakened ones are nothing but a few
And the one to make the difference now is you
From the Middle Eastern lands we ride, all children of Abraham
Our only sword, the light within, that burns as bright as sun
Wer're the orphans from the Holy Land, the keepers of Or-Shalem
So we bow to you our warriors for being simple men
Rewelacyjny kawałek i mocny tekst. No i to połączenie gitary z bouzouki. Super!
ORIENTAL METAL IS LIKE A DREAM
he sent me to another magical univer
its not Oriental.
Dude, Orphaned Land literally created Oriental Metal
It's middle east, not oriental
Shalom aleichem wesselamun aleikum. As the children of Avraham Aveinu, we must set an example to all Bnei Adam and Bnei Noach. Glory to HaQaddosh barukh Hu, Allahu Ekber! Shalom wesselam my dear brothers. Each one of you are achi sheli throughout olam haZe, haSheol, and olam haBa. You speak the truth. You speak the truth what was revealed to Muhammad (one of my many grand grand .... grand fathers) and what was written in the text that was been able to be recovered by Ezra haSofer and compiled; revealed through the burning bush, the curses and blessinggs of forty years, and the test of mount Sinai. May you have a blessed shabbath and a Yom HaKippururim following these yamim noraim. One love!
It's amazing how a israeli metal band can join so many culture in one, together.
It should be like that everytime :)
Really great \m/
Regards from Portugal! we feel that
I like the mystical message of non duality in this song .

Love this band. Very unique and a atmospheric. It's actually nice to be able to listen to something like this for a change, and even as an atheist I respect their message. Excellent stuff.

wow...i just discover this great band on Spotify... wonderful mix of metal and middle east traditional music....i get sad when i read some peoples comments.. how can one comment "war is fine by me" ... the lyrics is about how we all are human beings as HarverTheSlayer already pointed out... we usually get along fine as long as the"leaders" dont throw gasoline on the fire... thank god for music cause no religiuos boundaries there.

Wow indeed ... First time listen to this band. From Indonesia, All is One!
Hi love
This Song is Magic! Love from Graz Austia ❤
Who can possibly dislike this song?, is really a beautiful piece of metal art
only religiously traumatized and indoctrinated people.
we all know that the institutional religions are all corrupted by the dark and serve only as a tool of enslaving humanity, making them give away their innate power.
WE ARE ALL ONE as in being fractal parts of the one ultimate consciousness that is the source of all existence - experiencing itself through us.
so in essence we are all god/goddess/the source which loves us unconditionally and anyone who wants to tell you that god is a judgmental douchebag in the clouds is either just stupid or not having the best of intentions.
with all the hate and Division in the world we need more stuff like this across all genres and cultures. these guys Shred.

YES, ALL IS ONE! greetings of peace and solidarity from germany! 💖
All hail!!!
The lyrics are simply incredible. Great song! Greetings from Spain
Love this band and especially their message!
