Thank you so much for making and sharing this amazing video. I watched the show in 2019. l was so impressed with that. I really hope foreigners will enjoy and be happy with the performance.
Water Girl, bamboo dance, khanom khrok, water buffalo, were the common sight in recent Thailand's past. It is now hard to see them anymore except khanom khrok which is still being sold in some villages using the traditional way to cook small round piping hot sweet. Thai farmers employ mechanical hoe for over 3 decades now, so buffalo is no longer raised to plough paddy fields, but some are still raised to preserve tradition and for its meat. Water Girl and bamboo dance used to be the common sight during annual temple fairs decades ago, no more to be seen now except in some special places like Siam Neramit.
Thanks for sharing a bit about Thailand!! That’s a shame to see some traditions go, they are very unique and beautiful. Hopefully they come back the the fairs, but if not I’m glad it can still be seen at Siam Niramit! When we visited the Philippines we saw the water buffalo plowing! But I see why people moved to machines!
I live in Phuket. Around Mai-Khao near the airport. The people here still have a bunch of buffalos. They are really cute. Their voices are like "myah." Lol Literally. So cute. There is like a herd or two in Mai-Khao. They like to walk around the fields. Sometimes they walk in front of my house and leave a huge pile of their poop there. We sometimes use it for gardening. Hey, it works.
Great video. We are looking at going here in August when we visit Thailand. It looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊.. Greetings from Australia..Kevin and Ange
Khao Yai and Kanchanaburi in Thailand is a good and beautiful tourist destination. It's a fresh air space. But it is not well known to foreign tourists. Try to visit here.
First time watching your vlog. Thank you, for visiting Thailand.😊 Even though I am thai, I discover new travel spot through you like in this video. Love your videos.👍 Just subed Ps.I love every part of the siam niramit experiences, a bit unsure on the elephant use, I watch one documentary (i might be wrong) said that when elephant shake their body or head left to right repeatedly might sign of stress or trama from the past. But i might be wrong :) just sharing. I am quite sure that in the bigger company like this, i think they provide good care of elephants. If you have time left, wish you have time to visit elephants sanctuary :) that would be great 🤗. Hope you have amazing time in Thailand.
Thank you very much! We had a wonderful visit to Thailand, it's a truly amazing country! We actually asked them about it! They said their elephant was rescued when it was young and they used positive reinforcement style training. Animals that have been traumatized generally act like it and I can say from my short interaction she seemed happy, in good condition, and loved by the staff & visitors alike. I can only speak from my short observation and what I have been told though! I know some elephants have had training that isn't acceptable, but this didn't seem to be the case for her! I hope one day we can make it to a sanctuary (or better yet, spot some in the wild - that would be a dream!), they are beautiful animals! :)
You are right and that uis why people should not visit those elephant shows that have boundchained elephants or ride elephants because their spines are not made for the heavy Houdah. Elephants are trained by "crushing method. You will find videos about this horrible method. A recent vlolg showed an elephant out of Chiang Rai that was theatered by its neck. It could not more more than a couple of inches - imagine you being tied that way for the rest of your life! In other words be humaneand done support these animal shows. Fantasea is one of those where you can have your photo with a baby tiger - absoutely traumatising for the animal. Dont do it. Fantasea is a big company - you cannot see behind the galmour of the show.
Thank you for the video, what time should we have to be there if we take the long option and is it easy to get there from Phuket town ? Thanks in advance
I would try to get there a few minutes before the doors open! There is a lot to do!! :) I think they do have some shuttle bus options from Phuket, check on their website! otherwise I think it was about a half hour cab ride if I recall!
Hi! I believe the longer option because the shorter ones are only the show itself! The longer one would let you do the pre-show and dinner i believe! :)
everyone will say they are rescued! Nobody is going to tell you that they abuse animals. Do you think that having them in such a small space, having them staged and being part of a show is not an act of cruelty? it is very sad
✨World class spectacular performance of Thai Art!!💕 🥰Thanks for your hard work in making awesome video.👍 😍Most excellent video from Thailand, most of us learn through your eyes!😘
@@KingK339 we read that it was a rescue from a some sort of logging operation and were told they used positive feedback training. She seemed happy and healthy. I can’t say for certain because I’m not the caretaker… but she certainly didn’t act abused. Idk I’m always a bit torn on this sort of thing too. We obviously don’t support taking animals from the wild or subjecting them to cruel conditions… but on the other hand, giving rescues a new life, be it in a zoo, a show, a sanctuary, etc. isn’t necessarily wrong either. It depends on how they treat them. Now some of the markets we saw in Thailand… those animals were obviously snatched from the wild and horribly neglected/abused.

Thanks for watching! Also yes the Siam Niramit show is awesome. It's a shame they didn't let us film it so we could show people more about it.

This was shot on a canon eos R! It’s an awesome camera despite its age!
Poor Water Girl didn’t stand a chance did she 😂
Hahahah not with these big ole muscles and that perfect aim. 🤣
Hi , are there elephants on stage or just before the show for petting ?
Hi!! We only saw them at the pre-show, they did not appear on stage!
Have you tried Phuket Fantasea also? If yes, then which one is better?

Elephants can do anything if you beat, I mean train them. Even crush a human head.
Dancing!

South of Thailand is part of Malay kingdom is the past . ... it's kinda love and hate relationship between the Malay and Siam .
We will need to visit, I’d be interested in hearing out this relationship!! But regardless I hope it’s a mostly love one now!!!

That poor elephant. So sad. I will never support animal cruelty like this😢
