Creed Humphrey is worth the money he’s still very young with a high ceiling. He’s the best Center in the league. He’s a very important piece of the O line that protects PM15 he keeps everyone working together. We’re gonna need at least one guard in 2025 whether Thuney plays out his contract or they resign Trey Smith to a long term deal. Nick Bolton seems to be the odd man out of the three due to be extended or not.

We kinda expected needing a gaurd next year with Joe being so old. I think the contract is perfect just in the sense he’s being paid lots early and could resign a more team friendly deal on his next negations. As well we have Kingsley and hopefully a brand new gaurd who won’t need an extension until after Taylor’s contract is up for RT, I think the Cheifs are set to always have 3 of their 5 linemen being paid while the other 2 are rookies learning from vets. Very easy model to keep if we don’t re sign every player but key ones like the Center position

But if we are playing guessing what Veach would do? I would say going to move on from Tuney , but hopefully with out taking a hit on dead cap. Lock Trey Smith in after the season , and probably evaluate Bolton after this season. They might throw a small bonus in there directly to keep them happy and playing until it’s contract time. Tranquill covered for Bolton last season really well .
You can afford to have multiple positions be "The highest paid" when the QB isn't asking for more than half a Billion for the next 10 years. Highest paid Tightend, Center, Kicker, (I could be wrong but DT?).

MLB is a very important position in the NFL. When you find a quarterback on defense you pay him. He could leave, but I don’t see it happening unless he keeps getting injured.
Creed was already committed for 2024 for around $1.5 million so if this is just a 3 year extension the way Sportrac shows it then they’re really paying him $24 million a year on the extension. That’s double the top of the market for centers. That’s crazy and stupid and I don’t think Veach would do that. But then again he paid Jawaan Taylor $20 million/year
