Here's the deal, back in the '80s when they were on actual Maxwell Street and Halsted (Jew Town) they were the shit deluxe! The onions were much thinner and cooked darker (more well done) and the oil they used was some "illegal" super unhealthy but unbelievably delicious concoction. So much so that your vehicle would actually smell for two days after. Once they moved to Union it changed. The city forced them to use "healthy" Mazola oil and the onions got thicker and not cooked as long which basically fucked up that delicious unforgettable flavor. Trust me, if you ate a Jew Town Snacker back back in the '80s you know exactly what I'm talking about. They really fucked up.....................
Y’all didn’t get the actual polish sausage. The all beef is basically a hot dog. Y’all should do a redux of the review with the actual polish sausage. I ate there once many moons ago and it was phenomenal. I think it’s one of the best encased meats in all of Chicago. I like it worth the peppers. Good episode though. 😊
@@numbersixwithcheese they keep the onions piled up in an onion mountain and you may have just gotten some that haven’t been sitting there that long. They rotate them around but that doesn’t mean you got some good ones. They also changed the oil they cook with.
Can't win them all but this TH-cam review video really showed that some food items are not what they may be but the way this content was done way very perfesional today love that the guess are back again keep being great humans
Used to go Jim's for lunch once in a while with fellow UIC classmates. Hits the spot for cheap lunch, but there are better options around. Thanks for the flashbacks, gentlemen.
Wow, I have a laundry list of books and series I loved as a kid. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom The Magic Treehouse Arthur Shel Silverstein Goosebumps Clifford The Big Red Dog Just to name a few.
Awwww. Bummer that this wasn't delicious! I really love the order window though. Ambiance! 👍Tom seems like an interesting guy. And he was a good sport being smooshed into the backseat of the Substitute Cheese Mobile.
The stinky cheese man was my favorite children’s book. Also goosebumps but yeahhh maybe not the classic children’s book. Stay classy. #50ktomkelleriscool
Hey Tony Danza! I mean, Tom! 😉 Great content as always! You guys always have the best guests. Too bad the sausages were underwhelming. Meh, you'll make up for it! Thanks again!

@@drjekelmrhyde the original building dosent exist anymore. Got demolished when they did construction on canal years ago. Jim's relocated a few blocks from the original one with all of the same food. I still remember going to the original one with my parents when I was a kid. Small white building.
They didn’t get the original polish though. The all beef is basically a flavorless hot dog like Nathan’s. They still use the original meat tube with the the original recipe it’s just the all beef one.
I’m so confused cause yall always do it.. but am I able to add music on my vids on here or no? Haven’t really started yet but I want hella songs in my videos but I googled and they said I wouldn’t get paid cause of copyright. Is it a valid move or y’all just don’t care when y’all do it?
all beef polish eww brother why. if your ever going to eat a maxwell it has to be a mix of pork and beef because those are the only ones seasoned and cured to be a polish sauage. beef ones dont even come close to what its supposed to be. to rich and savory.
Say hi to Tom at instagram.com/heytomkeller and don’t forget to snag Patreon perks to support N6WC at www.patreon.com/numbersixwithcheese 🎉🎉
It’s cause you guys got the all beef. The regular one was the actual polish sausage. And no it doesn’t have chicken in it 😂
The beef sausage is bad. They ordered the wrong sausage
Thanks!

Here ya go artlist.io/song/100010/bomb
most of us prefer the sausage to stick outside the bun
You guys messed up getting the all beef. It's not as good
Facts. Gotta go with the pork
Hi Tom! Sorry the food wasn’t very good guys.
Release it corey lol
Where is the peppers?
Looks like Jim's changed the type of polish sausage they use. Looks like a generic one now.
such a bummer!
Sooooo unfortunate
Was that the real OG one?

Good content fellas…but for a real Maxwell street experience you have to get the original one. The beef version is not the real one.
There is no such thing as beef Polish sausage. The authentic one is 100% pork and it's a disgrace they call the beef one Polish
things change and it's okay man. This existing doesn't make the other one go away brother. It's all good

I think you're right. This one wasn't as good as I hoped. That was probably it!
Working out is so boring hearing some shit talk for hours would help me grind it out
