Yeah, it does. You just won't find it in the political field or in universities. No one is squeaky clean . You signed on for the wrong reasons. You are to protect America and its people, and you do tgat by protecting American intrests. Or do you actually believe china , Russia and every other friggin nation are our friends. If you do, then you're seriously niave and unrealistic . It sucks but it's the truth and reality.....welcome to planet Earth. And besides, you're not any more special than other Americans who go to the same sh#$ job every day. You got training that the people paid for, so get the f$%# over yourself. You got screwed, so guess what ? So do a lot of people. I went through that, and being the military doesn't have a thing to do with it. So get over yourself, find a better lawyer, and fight it. Or did you represent yoursrlf?

@louriz7488 that's right ? It is naive to think other countries don't either. And had we been allowed to drill oil in our nation, a lot of those "wars " probably wouldn't have happened. The way they did. Take Antarctica, for example. I've been there, and i know what I'm talking about. we're the only country that has obeyed the world treaty. And we're theconly country keeping russia, china and other nations" that dont care about the environment front destroying I completely . Remember, wars rarely end for the same reason they begin. This is a war of resources. And you better hope we win. I've been in the military and other things for a long time. And there are things you dont know. So don't pretend you do. Learn, then speak. Desert storm was to prevent Osama bin laden from cornering the worlds oil supply when he offered to be Kuwaitis military police force. If he had, then he would have taken kuwait over, thus basically controlling the world's oil supply and, in truth, controlling the world's economy and growth. And dont be stupid enough to believe that for one second, we aren't in a bar fight with Islam. And if they win.... you, me, and most of the people they don't approve of are f#$@ed. Believe it or not, I don't care.

My father was conscripted into the army in WW2 and fought from Normandy through to the downfall of Germany. I asked him one time when he was in his eighties, were you fighting for our country, and his reply was ,” I was fighting to stay alive so I could return to you , and your two brothers and Lil ( my mam ) and get it over with and have hopefully a normal life again , which he did ! Before he died he told me of some of the horrible things he experienced and witnessed, and he said , “ the government and the people at the top are not your friends “ . It has been proven now ,when you see veterans on the streets and not getting the help they require! From the UK .

Thank God for people like your father. It's not right how they're treated once they get home. If you're willing to risk your life for your country, you should be completely taken care of once you get home. Instead, they're tossed to the side and forgotten. It's just not right. God bless everyone that's ever served to give us the freedom we currently have.

I’m a 100% disabled veteran, who got hurt like 6 months into my enlistment, for the next four years my entire company just said I was a lazy POS, I’m just making it up to get out of deployments. After my last deployment we got a new doctor in our BAS, he noticed on my post deployment health risk assessment I put lower back pain, he said let me go look at your x rays, MRIs, bone scans, etc… He comes back in and says and I quote, “ I don’t know how they let you stay in, your back is Fuc&ed, even then I’m just trying to get out after being forced to serve my 4 years injured. Nope can’t let you get a medical discharge and they literally forced me to move double metal bunk beds, and mini fridges out of an entire barracks that was supposedly getting remolded or some crap. By this point my back is just destroyed and I didn’t want to leave in a wheelchair, so I made the biggest mistake of my life and just got another ESA date instead of a medical discharge that I deserved fighting for this ungrateful country. Oh and the whole time they had half a company worth of medical discharge marines and the other half marines getting out dishonorable discharge, they were allowed to sit in a air conditioned barracks and play video games all day while they made medical marines go out and do stuff like I mentioned. Fast forward I’m out it’s been like a year of going to the VA and we get a new to the VA doctor who does not know the VA policy of deny deny deny, he was in his 60s or 70s, luckily my dad was there and for the first time in half a decade of being treated by MULTIPLE DOCTORS this new doctor finally told me the truth that my back was broken sometime in the past. So I had a broken back that was just “low back pain” and not one doctor gave a F during my enlistment, trying to get medically discharged, and an entire year of seeing VA doctors. At 21 they wanted me to get my lower back fused, I held off and years later decided to go with a Microdiscectomy on the vertebrae above my broken back which also had a perforated disk, so they removed the disc that was oozing out onto my nerves. All of this started when I got out in October of 2009, Microdiscectomy was 2015, and over the last 8-9 years I have fallen hard on solid jagged ice at parks and sidewalks. The last year and a half now going on two years, I told my VA doctor it was getting harder to walk, my legs were hurting again, I was having to stop 4 times to sit and rest in only .09 of a mile, she knew my history with my back but refused for a year and a half to give me an MRI, telling me the ONLY way I would EVER get another MRI is if I was in as much pain as I was when I got out (back was so bad I started developing scoliosis because I could only lean to the sides and if I tried straightening my back it would be horrific pain that made my back go out for months at a time where I couldn’t even hardly wipe my own a$$), or if I become incontinent. First off let’s break that statement down, if I wake up and any of that stuff has happened I’m not calling the VA for an appointment in two weeks, I’m going to the ER and having emergency surgery by whoever is on call and let’s hope he didn’t just stay up all night or day doing surgery. So the VA has essentially told me that they don’t care, and go to the ER and see if anyone will give a $hit about you there because we don’t. I broke my back for this $hit country and the VA will not do anything to help me out, oh no I’m sorry she wanted me to go to PT and get treated for something that we had no clue what it was, a 20 min MRI just doesn’t make sense. Well I finally gave up and just requested a cane from the VA and somehow a nurse talks her into giving me an MRI after me begging multiple times to get an MRI because I all have left is my dogs and the walks we take, I literally have 0 friends, I DON’T date, I don’t have a single family member near me, time and time again she didn’t care and refused to give me an MRI. What for I’m already 100% I won’t get any higher rating, I won’t make any more money, there is literally no reason not to give me one other then THEY JUST DONT CARE. I’ve given up, the MRI came back that day have spinal stenosis with severe narrowing, which matches up with EVERY single symptom I told my doctor and with my history she should have known better but just didn’t care, I also just found out recently in the last couple years I have pulmonary sarcoidosis from the burn pits in Iraq. They essentially told me my lungs would clog and my heart would eventually give out under the stress of trying to pump blood through my lungs (if left untreated), I’ve stopped all treatment for that and just plan to die. Imagine twice in a lifetime doctors ignore you say your fine and then you literally find out they were lying and full of $hit, because the doctors work for the government and not for us, the government wants complete denial in everything we try and claim or seek treatment for. Now a neurosurgeon wants to do epidural steroid injections, which requires anesthesia and someone to drive me back home after (who knows how many treatments) but like I said and I’m not exaggerating at all, I have ZERO support system which means I have no one to drive me home or for the next 24 hours take my dogs to the park twice to go potty and run and play. However If she just gave me the MRI two years ago when all of this was starting, I could have moved back home find a doctor I want to do any necessary procedures or surgeries, and have multiple people who can help me, because we might be at a point where I have to get my back fused if nothing else works, that’s 6 months to a year recovery that I now have to put off, literally signed a new year lease before I got the devastating news of how bad my back has gotten, so as of today I still 14 months before I can move. I’m slowly moving stuff closer to home 10-12 hour drive one way, something I would have made more trips if I knew I needed the help. Oh and I’ve been told once you fuse then about every 10 years the next vertebra up will have to be fused and so on and so on, that’s if every ten years I don’t have to put up with the same thing about the VA just ignoring me. I don’t believe in hurting myself, but I have no problem just letting a disease take me out, one day my heart will just stop or explode I don’t know what it does under that kind of strain, I regret ever serving this country.

Mugs and T-shirts saying, "VA - Giving veterans a second chance to die for their country..." Are funny? NO! They are the sickening truth, but only if our veterans can get in to be seen at all! We took in a friend who is a veteran. As far as the gov/VA knew, he was homeless. He's been out for several years now, almost as long as he was active, and he's still fighting for disability. He has 60% of normal lung capacity, severe CPTSD, he has been stabbed, shot and blown up at least twice (each), he lives in mental, physical and spiritual pain and is one of the best men I've ever know. His wife cheated while he was gone... And, he couldn't get his kiddo for visitation because he was HOMELESS!!! (While he was actually living with us, but they didn't believe that non-family would take a man in when he couldn't pay rent! There is so much wrong. For those who don't say it, THANK YOU! We really are sorry for the way you're being treated and have been treated for decades. We need to do better.
