I would love to see a demo of some gesture recognition. I am unfamiliar with radar and I am wondering if it could sense hand gestures. Also can it sense gestures through a wall? Thanks!
Great sensor yet it seems like I am stuck with 2.75m for distance detection. Can we go any higher Rob? I am using it for tank level detection to be precise.
you could sweep the sensor around on a servo with a position encoder and map that information to pixel coordinates on a display. the dual polarity doppler you see used for weather does this. there are also SLAM techniques applicable here, you could generate a 3d point cloud, etc
After downloading the stm32 cube software, prepare yourself for a lifetime of spam emails
Aw man, I wish I had this 2 years ago.

Rob is always hilarious, interesting tool.
"I feel seen." - Rob XD
Thanks, Rob 👍

Why not share basic technical features? What is Degrees of detection and height?
Stud finder! Bet it can find wires, pipes, and studs inside walls.
I've been trying to rig up something for measuring the speed of cars driving down our alley. I wonder...
Is there a way to use the XM125 for visual image like you would see with radar?

how safe is this when you are in front of it? Is the power of this low enough that it can't cause any harm?
60Ghz is nowhere near ionising frequency (which is up in the UV) It's perfectly safe
I wonder: Could it be possible to detect object location using three of these modules and some triangulation?
That would be a handy option, software using a few of these in a mesh.
It should be possible to detect location with just one sensor if it has an array on it.
