so there's no pre-dipping (sanitizing) the teats before putting the milkers on? if so, that cannot be good..
milk will go through pasteration anyway it does not matter

It's an impressive setup. Not sure if it's completely cost-effective though. I've seen a parlour in Gelderland, Netherlands, with a double 36 rapid exit parlour; they could milk 450/hour with one person, and this parlour is not going to be even comparable in cost. That was about as big as you want to go with a rapid exit though, in my opinion, so I guess this is the next step. Our own double 20 rapid exit does about 200/hour.

I want to own a goat rotary milking parlor like the one on the video, plus sheep also.
Goats are pretty clean (certainly better than cows!) Still, when I milk my few goats, I at least give the bag and teats a wash with a clean, wet cloth.
Awfully quiet in the milking parlor! How do you train them to the machine, and what do they do when they're not being milked?

@hangpham23 In Vietnam people need jobs. Milk the goats by hand. Use any system if you want them milked by machines. All you need is a parlor that has two platforms and a space between them for milkers to get in. The space should be lower than the platforms so the milkers would not have to sit to reach the teats and udders.

@fakir0005 Unless you are pouring the milk all over the goat's udder there is no reason that washing the udder is strictly necessary. It doesn't come in contact with the outside. And I always got the impression that washing is more for the benefit of the goat, to prevent mastitis.
@MsFoxan What kind of a question is this. You bet most of the goats get only half on. The idea is to get them out of the parlor fast and for the milker to go home.
any effluent problems? seems like a pretty clean shed compared to dairy lol

@fakir0005 Obviously you have no experience with goats or machine milking. Goats are extremely clean animals, and the system is closed. It has been proven that it is cleaner to not wash or strip goats before milking. Also, all milk is tested before being shipped, so filthy milk would be dumped.

@milkingmachine1 How can they be clean. When they pee the pee will go over the udders and the teats. The milk is very unsanitary.

Is not crazy being emotional of something in and extreemist way which turns to that anger created when judging things saying they are mean or wrong?? If that is mean so isn't having and donating to pet police station when humans are starving. Those goats live, grazes and eat for free and gets het stuff sucked! Know how many girls will marry for this? I wonder of priorities sometimes too I guess. Have a nice day with the unconditional love of the pets.

@constrength Nubians give a lot less volume, and most farmers get paid for volume, not taste. It's all about efficiency, not quality. Nubians are also not as intelligent as Saanens, and a rotary parlour is not fun if the goats can't figure it out. Nubians are great for hobby farms and speciality cheese producers, but not for a commercial dairy.
Sell these to the middle east.
Goats will be happy to read it. But the nanbies will still be taken from goats and othes will drink it. Milking goats is fun. Buy a goat for milking pleasure.
