We are five years into a seven year effort of transforming 20 acres of "Piney Grove" in Northwest Florida into our dream homestead/mini farm to be filled with animals and joy. We plan to have a variety of miniature critters on our pastures, raise free-range chickens, grow fish in our pond, garden, plant fruit and nut trees, and harvest wild game. Our goal is
to escape the stresses of corporate life and embrace all that country living

Excellent! As I mentioned before, I grew up on a farm in Ohio and we needed electric for the block heater for the diesel tractor and also heaters for water, troughs, lights, etc. and the Haybale elevator. Just mentioning that brings back some nightmares.😂😂😂😂
We don't have much need for block heaters in Florida!
My dad and offsider built a similar shed 40 years ago. It was built out of a combo of timber from the farm with framing and metal roofing bought. Today it is housing equipment worth many thousand of dollars, protecting them from the elements.
Yes, farm equipment will last forever if you keep it out of the elements!

The end wall tin not going down as far as the back wall tin would bother me a lot more than not having the screws in a line.
We will gravel the inside and build it up. Many steps to this building....It's not done yet!!

I hope you put a gutter system on the back of the building.
We are going to gravel it but we've had some heavy downpours since building and it's fine.....just splashes dirt on the metal.
Rat guard? Has a different meaning for this old navy line handler

When we built our fences around our land, we used Cats Claw fasteners. We loved them, I was pleased to find out they were made in America.
Rat guard is a moot point on an open faced building.

Yes, I've hand dug a trench there but it needs a culvert and stone for smooth transition off the driveway. Thanks for watching!
Nice work! I’m assuming you’re going to run some power so you can have lights and electrical outlets, are you going to run water as well? Just a suggestion
Right now the plan is for implement storage only but we have power stubbed out to the corner of the Mega-shed to bring over if needed and the well is only 50' away!
