Группа «Otyken» была создана в 2015 году, основатель Андрей Медонос. Место создания Красноярск, Россия.
Группа состоит из разных представителей малочисленных народов Сибири: чулымцев, кетов, селькупов, хакасов и долган.
Но 23 год для них прям звёздный получился. 🎉 рад за них.

И очень не факт что не будь над ними России они в принципе до сегодняшних дней дожили бы, а были причины не дожить и много. И большинство это прекрасно понимает. И население тех народов за последний век растет, а не убывает, данные в свободном доступе. Растет от безысходности и угнетения похоже. Но про золото из могил и колонизаторство всегда поныть можно. Ведь китайцы или монголы территориями не прирастали. Или... Ой! Все народы экспансионисты. Это если наивность выключить.

What made me impressed about your reaction is you make your research about bands, singers, songs etc unlike tho other reaction channels. Thats really nice. And even you already know a lot about music and cultures. That earned my respect. Well let me add more. Its actually like ancient turkic shamanic ritual music. All those clotes, makeups, instruments, lyrics are a bundle of turkish kam (shaman) culture. He is saying turkic ancient gods names in the song. And the song is trully is an experience.. I love it. You literally took the words right out of my mouth; I got emotional the first time I heard it. I'm also Native, and while listening to the song, it felt like I found something that had been lost. I'm an avid EDM listener, and I really hope we hear more music like this with languages from our continent. It would be an amazing way to help preserve and highlight our people's culture and stories. The Altai people are our genetic cousins as well as culturally, so it was amazing seeing them really show their music, clothes, and spirit with so much passion and unapologetically.
Artists from two Turkic tribes met here to make turkic music with old Turkic instruments.
I am Turkish and understand everything that Ummet Özcan sings (he sings about ancient deities from Turkic mythology). I also understand some words that Otyken members sing, such as “dağlar” (mountains).
There are so many Turkic tribes spread across the Asian continent. Since most of the tribes lived as nomads, the originally close tribes diverged from each other over thousands of years. Some even landed on the American continent via the Bering Strait, much, much earlier than Columbus. They are the ancestors of the indigenous peoples of the American continent.
Also these 2 tribes here have become geographically distant from each other over time (Özcan's clan moved to Anatolia, the Otygen members are still in Siberia).Their languages, which have the same origin, have also developed independently of one another.
But the instruments that are played here are known to all Turkic peoples, such as the "ikili" which refers to the number 2 (iki in Türkiye) (the instrument has 2 strings). The Turkish Bağlama/Saz is similar to the ikili but has many more strings.
The area around the Altay Mountains is one of the original habitats of many Turkic tribes and Otyken (Ötüken) the legendary first capital of all Turks.
Here are the names of some goddess and gods Özcan sings about
Tengri = Sky god. He is the creator of everything. Tengri was the main god of the Turkic pantheon who controlled the Celestial sphere.
Kayra or Kaira = Supreme God of the Universe
Adaghan = Mountain God.
Ülgen or Ulgen = God of goodness. Kayra's son.
Mergen = God of wisdom. Kayra's son.
Kyzaghan/Kızagan = God of war of the
Umay = Goddess of fertility. She is also the goddess of virginity and therefore relates to women, mothers and children.
Kuara = God of Thunder
Kubai/Kübey = Goddess of birth and children. It protects women who give birth. She gives soul to children.
Koyash/Kuyaş = Sun God. Koyash is the son of Sky Tengri and the Earth Goddess.
Ak Ana = (Ak means White) Goddess of Creation. She is the primitive creator-goddess of the Turkish people. She is known as the goddess of water.
Ay Ata = God of the Moon.
Gun Ana/Gün Ana = Goddess of the Sun.
Yel Ana = Goddess of Wind

I have introduced many people to their music, including my Native friends. Actually, I've had Native friends break into tears, upon watching these videos. Their music is Sooo Spiritual, I often get tearie-eyed. As I have described it before... The Universe speaks No Human language. It speaks to one's heart. I sensed that you were having a Spiritual experience, while watching this. You're blessed. The Universe had a Special Message just for YOU... I wish there was a way that I could bring them to Canada... We'll see... The Natives that I know could use some of this Self Esteem... If, and/or when you experience more of their music, You'll witness everyone in Russia applauding them. There is not the discrimination there, that there is here... What a shame... I think a Tour of Canada, would be so good for aboriginals here. Most of my native friends are addicts... Spiritually, they are broken and really need healing... I pray for them... I currently have Otyken's "Pulse of the Earth" concert from 2023 paused in one of my tabs coz my missus keeps bloody interrupting me listening to it so I can't fully get into the musical journey they are trying to take me on.

Ötüken is one of the names given to Mother Earth in Tengriism, the traditional belief of the ancient Turks (Göktürk etc.).

The Otuken consists of representatives of the small Siberian Chulym people. These people are the ancient ancestors of the Turkic peoples and have nothing in common with the American Indians. Otuken is a sacred place in Altai, where the Turkic people, born of a she-wolf, appeared on earth for the first time in Turkic mythology.. Altai is a place in Siberia very similar to the Alps, but 4 times larger. The video was shot in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where the Chulym people live.

Actually, the Altaians are considered the progenitors of the Turkic peoples, from whom many modern peoples descended. What does the North American Indians have to do with it?😁❤❤❤❤❤
As I mention in the video, North American Indians first came across the (now disappeared) land bridge from Siberia to Alaska and thence southward. The connection is that the Siberian indigenous peoples are actually distant ancestors. So the band Otyken are representing that culture which migrated into North America tens of thousands of years ago.
