Being a fan of another 4-13 team (Pats), I'll say that it's remarkable how much better/in sync the play execution is by Arizona - they just play with swagger and an explosive element that belies their overall record. And they're a helluva lot more fun to watch than whatever was going on in NE...better luck next year to both teams!

Breaking down the stats and facts for Pete Carroll's head coaching performance evaluation since the 2014 season/botched Super Bowl 49 loss (now a 9 year span):
Last three consecutive years (21'-22'-23') regular season games combined W/L totals:
25 Wins 26 Losses. (Sub .500 stretch.)
Three total playoff wins.
Six total playoff losses.
Exited out of the wild card round three times.
Missed 2017 playoffs entirely.
Missed 2021 playoffs entirely.
Missed 2023 playoffs entirely.
Has not been to NFCCG once since Super Bowl 49 loss.
Won only two NFCW titles since.
Two separate head coaches from the NFCW have taken their respective teams to 4 Super Bowl appearances since.
Years of inexplicably atrocious first overall draft choices wasted.
Scores of horrific, and unqualified coaching staff hires made by Pete, who are merely his obedient lackey yes men micro managers.
Sustained evidence of a long-term failed, antiquated, and outdated coaching philosophy, along with the myriads of detrimentally adverse in-game decision making blunders made, all due to pure incompetence tied together with stubborn refusal to change, and also adapt. This clearly leads to getting out coached the vast majority of the time.
Continuous absence of no real team leadership, always resulting in unprepared, undisciplined teams and players, because of an egregious 'cheerleader' type ideology that promotes an unstructured, and lackadaisically inept coaching environment in which players lose all respect, and do not take him seriously.
Multiple seasons of consistent bottom-tier ranked offensive lines directly attributed to willful negligence by Pete.
The Seahawks under Pete, have literally been the most penalized team in the NFL for many combined years, and still has ignorantly continued to keep them on that abysmal trend currently.
Insanely giving up so much for a complete bust acquisition in Jamal Adams.
Trading away Max Unger for a briefly rented, and misused Jimmy Graham.
His smug, and arrogant demeanor he displays is pathetic. Never personally accepts any accountability, or blame for his coaching failures when speaking at media pressers. Ever.
The completely asinine mantra he expresses to his team, and adamantly believes in that; “games are won in the fourth quarter.”
It’s been 9 YEARS now from the 2014 season/SB 49 loss, and literally still no substantial progress from Pete to advance the team competitively forward to be serious contenders whatsoever. Nothing.
Pete simply has been an unsuccessful fraud throughout that duration that has kept them deliberately restricted under his so-called leadership.
Pete held the title of EVP, and wielded all of the power, ultimately making all of the decisions for player acquisitions, and all of coaching staff hires over John Schneider, because Pete Carroll had the authority, and was his superior with that title for more than a decade.
Because of this, the demise of the Seahawks has conclusively proven to be directly attributed to Pete Carroll.
He has had way more than enough time, way more than enough chances, and realistically should have been fired years ago.
Nothing has ever changed, and nothing will ever change as long as he is in control, the years of results speak for themselves; it’s forever rinse, and re-Pete.
He has turned the franchise into an embarrassing joke.
Seahawks fans have to honestly acknowledge this information as logically unacceptable, and are entitled to deserve so much better than him, or otherwise, just stay in delusion of false hope for his nonexistent future success.

I've been a Seahawks fan since 1980. I'm not sure I've ever seen a Seahawks defense as soft as this one in my life. Hell...I'm not sure I've seen an NFL defense as soft as this Seahawks defense was this year. This team is hard to root for when you watch defenders who not just lack the talent, but they more likely lack the heart and willingness to win. Just terrible. If the Cards weren't tanking for draft picks they would have lost this game (Prater never misses those kicks otherwise)

This season was a disappointment. We didn't make improvements with all the gifts from the RW trade. I always have a problem with John and Pete's approach of drafting for the best talent available not for the team's needs in part due to their talent evaluation, especially for the first 2 rounds records have been bad. With #5, we got a good one this year, but a cornerback can never be as influential as linemen in the game, so passing Jalen Carter was still disappointing.
I agree. We could have gotten Jalen Carter, beefed up our line and kept Mike Jackson at corner. Our run D was horrible

Coaching issue and QB inconsistency plus defensive underperformance has plagued this team for the last several years. No real changes of coaching and strategy obviously year after year. We need a complete new coaching staff and Penix Jr as our QB.
For every Wilson trade robbery, there is also a Jamaal Adams payback! Net gain is minimal.

If the Packers would have lost to the Bears we would have went to the playoffs but due to tiebreakers in the NFL and there is no 8th seed in the playoffs. The Packers win and Seahawks get eliminated by default so that makes this victory rather pointless.
