My jaw dropped when I heard the $1k price tag for the ProRes upgrade and those ridiculous file sizes. Love the shots you got with it!

Well done sir!; very objective review!; interestingly, in Australia, there are a flood of Inspire 2s on the second hand market, I guess there are troops who regardless of price still want to upgrade !!!
I bought an inspire 1 last year (used of course) for a really good price and I'm quite happy with it. I still haven't gotten the courage yet to fly it out of sight and use the camera only and return to home...but I'm getting there
I would not suggest flying the inspire 1 out of sight. The DJI signal systems have come a long way since that first inspire, and I really don't trust RTH to save them, especially the early models. (It's also against the law technically)

I hand catch my inspire 2 most of the time and it's extremely safe

@ericheick7044 sure until your hand gets caught in the propellers and you lose fingers or have severe lacerations and need stitches. The propellers are not joke and I used to have the same cocky attitude until my hand got in the propellers. It will eventually happen to you.
@@fpshobbs no, it won't. Done it hundreds of times. The boat I launch from doesn't have a large open platform, making landing impossible. I take a lot of caution, and haven't even had a close call.
It's not being cocky. It's knowing the risk, taking it slow, and paying attention. Sorry you didn't.

The Ronin 4D 6K camera has poor rolling shutter. How is the rolling shutter on this 8k air camera? Thanks!
Well judging by the motorcycle shots the rolling shutter doesn't seem too bad!

A2: Don't waste your money (unless you already answered yes to the rich question)
Follow up Qs 3a 3b 3c: Is this a sensible investment for you? Do you have a business plan? Will you make money using it?
A3: If you said yes to those questions, then go for it! If you said no but are rich anyway, still go for it.

Waypoint is pretty sick feature, it's a shame that you dont try it

Just picked up the $900 license for Inspire 3. Apparently you can’t import ProRes Raw 59.94 into Davinci Resolve. I bought it yesterday specifically for a client who had a job last evening and I sure looked bad as I could not edit the Inspire 3 footage. Nowhere did DJI advise me that it would not work in DaVinci Resolve. I want a refund. How do you return a license?
Did you try converting the ProRes raw footage to CinemaDNG?
Thanks for the suggestion. I did find that there is a path to convert. Of course wish that extra step wasn’t there. I have yet to followup with seeking to return the license. I’ve have a love / hate relationship with DJI for more than 10 years. :-) @@bantnation1691

RIGHT!!! IT'S INSANE, I'm not a pro colourist but I was still able to get such good colours! If you had some real time to spend colour grading I couldn't imagine what you could do!

Feels like you don't know how to use this drones footage.. :) images are droping frames a loooot..... so in amatures hands - 20k to 30k eur drone is as good as potato :D Also highest quality drone that money can buy - hands down. Alta X. :)

Everyone thinks they need an ND filter. In reality you’re degrading color and adding distortion - with ANY ND filter. No such thing as a non distortion perfect neutral color filter.
