    A dingo is basically just a type of wild dog that lives in Australia. Hundreds of years ago, they were brought in by the british. Some escaped from captivity and adapted to life as wild dogs.
    Interestingly, if captured at an early age, they can be domesticated, to the point where they are like normal pets.(unlike wolves and other predators)
    Thats that about Dingos as far as a I know :)

      Animals may not be as smart as we are about some things, but they are geniuses when it comes to figuring who can do what in a fight. The dingo's situational awareness is so acute that he knows he can relax and scratch his ear once he's given up on the wallaroo because he seriously knows what he is doing and has no fear of the thing suddenly lunging for his throat or anything. Both animals also know that it is nothing personal. They are both pros in the game just like we are in our world...

    Roos not only hold dogs under water, they'll disembowel the dog as well, I've seen a blue cattle dog healing from its wounds 3 weeks after an encounter with an eastern grey buck in a dam, the roo tore him from the throat to his stomach.

    Interesting. I had never heard of a "Wallaroo." Are Kangaroo's gettin' ultra horny and messin' around with wallaby's now? It better not be Walrus's. Walrii? Hmmm...
    How the hell did I even get here?

    • @abhibeckert
      @abhibeckert 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The official name is "Macropod" (latin for big feet), which is a broad family with over 60 actual species, which are almost arbitrarily split into "Kangaroo", "Wallaby", "Wallaroos" and a few others that are less common (some kangaroos live in trees for example, and some recently extinct ones ate meat). Each of those names also have dozens of species.
      Kangaroos commonly thought to be larger, but some wallabies are larger than some kangaroos. The main thing separating them is the size/shape of their legs.

    Australia has weak wildlife, a tiny 40 pound dog is the king of the wild? Asia has tigers, Africa has lions and leopards, the Americas have jaguars and grizzly bears.

      +gnarkillkicksass crocs are found in most continents, not exclusive to australia. marine life you mentioned is also not exclusive to australia. Asia has them too. Ostriches are the most dangerous birds in the world. Australia only has bugs and snakes.

    Funniest comment I ever heard from any tourist was when I drove up to Hillsville Sanctuary (1.5hrs from Melbourne), was walking into the main entrance, where I was then confronted with this Londoner in his 30's who just says to me strait out,
    "Came all this way to see a Dingo - well its just a dog, in'it!"

    The kangaroo looks very gentlemanly. All the while it was in defensive posture, not the aggressor. When the dog stops, the kangaroo just let go, it didn't bother to pursue the dog.
