    Nice so far. I liked the hack of using PVC wrapped in sandpaper for the routed edges.

    Cool tip I just learned about cutting foam. It gets so static charged and sticks to everything! Use Static Guard and mist it, then it'll be a lot easier to clean up.

    Very cool. New to the channel. Love the work so far. I've been a wood worker for years and I still make mistakes routing. I can only imagine how steady you have to be to do foam.

    I agree. Can't wait to see part 2! Great work man. I would love to see a build for a creepy tree...perhaps using the concrete tube? I know people have done that before, but I would love to see your methods.

    Stealing the fluting idea for some tubes I have. I have always wanted them to look like columns. Cant wait to see how you paint this to complete the look. Again , Thank you for sharing your projects with us. I know it takes time to film and edit every week or so and to clean tiny foam pieces off of yourself .......

    I’m rather new at finding and subscribing to your channel and wanted to say thank you for the water/gorilla glue tip. I wasn’t aware that it was water activated 🤦🏻‍♀️, and using glass cleaner in place of water to thin paints-had no idea. Loving the channel and content! 👍🏻

    Excellent! It's like therapy watching you make stuff. Not that I need therapy... And not to be a nag, but I hope you're cleaning up all the foam particles that all this work creates. Micro plastics are becoming a real problem in the oceans, and even if you live in Kansas (I have no idea where you live), they'll get there eventually. Ok, public service announcement over.     I live in Pittsburgh and every so often it likes to just hurricane here for no reason. Crazy winds, tons of rain, etc. So I know I could put a stake in in the tombstone and hammer into the ground but is there anyway I can weight it or something?

      You can always try it. We never get weather here in Los Angeles, so the rebar is typically sufficient.

    UK here, I might be wrong, but I think the broken column isn't broken due to age, but was made broken. I think it represents "a life cut short" we have one here at my local cemetery 'Bocking Cemetery' there is an ancient graveyard here at aside from the new graveyard which has one.
    If you ever need some inspiration and some photos, just ask. We have graveyards nearby here in Essex that are so old, they have skull and crossbones on them (plague era maybe).

    Does the expanding glue ever cause you problems with pushing things apart? I have used PL300 which I don't particularly like but there is no expansion. I have a lot of gluing to do for my cemetery columns and have to reevaluate what glue to use.

      It’s not too bad. I typically just do dots of glue rather than streams. It helps to minimize any potential expansion. I also think the skewers help a lot.

    I was wondering how you might achieve the fluting. What was true genius was your distressing of the fluting! Money! With these videos coming out regularly, you must finally be getting on top of your Halloween to do list for the year.

      Thanks. Oddly enough this wasn’t on my to do list. I actually don’t have a list anymore and I’m not even sure where this monument is going to go once it’s done. Lol. Storage aka haunter cryptonite.

    Pipe insulation is the same material as Pool Noodles. You Don't Need GLUE for them. A Heat Gun to heat up the foam then pressed together BONDS the foam

      Very true. I tried that and found that the pipe insulation melted more than I cared for, so I switched over to barge cement.
