I am SO glad this is the first time you’ve experienced them. They are INSANE. They’re live shows are just as high energy. The music is so unique and they always throw in so many weird elements. Check out their other stuff. You won’t be disappointed.

This band is incredible. Check out “Got To War”, “Ballast (This Is The Time)”, “Jenny”……really you can’t miss with these guys. The three I listed are my favorite of theirs but everything they do is awesome.

You have to check out their live performances. They use that crazy mechanical thing he was standing on at their live shows.
They call it the Scorpion Tail. It’s the sequel to their other invention - the bassinator- they had previously used at live shows.
Been following these guys for years, I'd definitely recommend listening to their older stuff, lots of energy but also some deep and meaningful songs, epic band, happy you guys like them !

They are my absolute favorite band! They are super energetic, super original, and usually have such personally deep lyrics. Not to mention that they put on a helluva live show! And every single member could carry their own individual bands if they wanted to. The songs "Jenny", "Fade In/Fade Out", and "This is the Time" are highly highly recommended!

I saw them live a few years back without knowing who they were. Best fucking liveshow I've ever seen and been hooked ever since. Their energy is insane.
That crazy contraption Jonny was using in that video is called "the scorpion tale" this is the first time he's used it in a video. You can see it live at concerts. The levers that he pulls messes with the guitarists guitars and makes them sound ... well, like that. It's really interesting.
You have to check out their previous work. I don't think they ever broke up but it has been like 5 years since their last album. Their previous self.titled album and The Stories We Tell Ourselves are both incredible. For specific songs I'd recommend Fat Kid, This is the Time (Ballast), Jenny, Go To War, Funny Little Creatures and Let Em Burn just to name a few.
Edit: this song is sick af but doesn't even come close to showing off how good Jonny's voice is. Also their material can often cover very personal subjects. Jenny for example is a.song written by Jonny for his sister who was suffering from mental health and addiction issues which she wouldn't let anyone help her with, even their mum who was dying of cancer but held on just to try and see her through. It's deep shit but so good.

Seen this band loads of times and when they do this bizarre ‘bass solo’ together it’s the most amazing thing I’ve seen live. Ooze talent. Check out ballast please and the live takes they did for Sirius octane to be blown away
Saw them live with Asking, Atreyu, and Eva Under Fire, all four were fucking amazing. Hands down best concert I e been to. The scorpion tail live was awesome, and his energy was unbelievable
These guys are absolutely INSANE live! Have seen them many times, done meet and greets, and hung out with them after shows. They are super down to earth and just and all around great band! Do a deep dive... you won't regret it!
Saw these dudes live when they opened for Five Finger Death Punch/Breaking Benjamin back in 2017. They're fuckin INSANE live and the lead singer gets up on that machine like 7 meters in the air and just WAILS on it. They absolutely deliver 90%+ of it live lmao
I found it on Sirius Octane. I almost drove my car off the road. It's been on repeat for me ever since.
You mates gotta see Nothing More live at some point. The singer plays a bad ass drum solo in the middle of the set. Also the machine he was playing random sounds on is basically like a keyboard the band uses for sound effects.
I love nothing more have for years seen them live 3 times they are amazing live. I've always thought it's a shame they aren't bigger then they are. Like 99 percent of their music is amazing and they have a crazy range of songs that are all super technical

Saw them live years ago with the Contortionist and they blew me away. One of my favorite live shows I've ever seen!

They bring 110% of that to live shows… saw them live yearssss ago when the last album came out. He’s an absolute animal and that mechanical arm he jumps on towards the end comes on tour with them, it’s some weird almost like effects pedal machine. TH-cam it, you won’t be disappointed
Also in your deep dive you’ll probably discover his neck tapping vibrato which is unbelievable

What Johnny guessed with stealing AA the show is absolutely true. Saw them live 2-3 years ago supporting Bullet for my Valentine and they ripped them the show out of their hands! And then they stayed around at their merch stand after to chat with the audience. Such cool dudes!

Fun fact... the vocalist, Jonny Hawkins, used to be their drummer and moved to vocals when the original vocalist left the band and they tried a few others without success. You should check out their last two albums with Jonny on vocals, songs like 'This is the time (Ballast)' and 'Jenny'

Oh man, I got to see your reaction to the Scorpion Tail, that was worth it. A couple of bits about these folks:
1: That machine is a massive midi controller that goes inbetween the guitar player and the amps. When he starts just wailing on that thing live, he's actually REMIXING THE BAND in real time.
2: Their bass game, as you mentioned, is seriously on point, both live and on the record.
3: Johnny really is as high energy at the live shows as he is in the video. I caught them at Download because they were playing the second stage and I wasn't interested in the act on the main stage, so I gave them a shot. The guy comes out topless and IMMEDIATELY starts just beating the shit out of some drums. He held my attention so hard I absolutely did not realise when the rest of the band had come on stage until they started playing.

Their self titled album was personally my favorite with tracks like Friendly fire, Pyre, This is the time (ballast)... This song was an absolute banger and makes me wanna go back and give TSWTO another listen through.
