I live in a condo right on south Cocoa Beach (S. 13th street area)….right off my balcony are the beautiful sand dunes and the sparkling Atlantic ocean...Just moved in 15 days ago and I love it here (a recently retired Engineer who spent 32 years at a large American defense contractor.

That's right...an extremely demanding job that I am quite proud of. They paid me a boatload of money but demanded near super human dedication and performance in return. It was a high stress job with lots of OT (unpaid of course) but I made it thru 32 years. Now I am pretty much on easy street.

@RPG 808 There is abundant inventory...I had a big dog (he just died unexpectedly last week:(, so I was very limited on where I could buy into but I got into a very well kept older condo complex. If you want direct oceanfront the price will reflect a nice premium but there are many price points for buying in cocoa beach. From $250K for a small place a few blocks from the ocean to oceanfront starting at about $300 to direct oceanfront starting at about $400K.

The ships actually come and go from Cape Canaveral...2 miles north, but when they get off the ships the passengers are bussed to Cocoa Beach for entertainment, exploring and access to the beaches.
