Anyone else think these science videos are a training arc for Orange so he can master his superpowers in the Animation vs. Animator stuff?

@@AlanBacon25 well, they're taking yellow, so maybe he can be the smartypants after this?
Orange bouta be the next Newton
Maybe
I can’t wait for physicists to break this down and then explain it all
Hopefully we get Walter Lewin. He explains stuff to the basics
its unfortunately gonna be more of a debunking than explaining but i hope they won't be too harsh on the video, it was so pleasing to watch despite the inaccurate stuff
@@agabe_8989like what? I'm actually curious since I understand none of this.
@@NocturnalLonerSome parts are either taken too literally or changed a bit just for the sake of the animation. I think it's mostly the parts within the black hole. The magnet acceleration part is a bit wrong too, someone pointed out the other part of the magnet will equally accelerate and decelerate the rocket, meaning the boost shouldn't be possible.
@@NocturnalLoner I find the biggest problem in the part where the rocket is turned into a magnet and then accelerated the ship to 80% lightspeed.
The first issue was that the solenoid they form would not actually behave as a magnet, a coil creates a magnetic field when a current is passed through it, in the video there was no electrical curent, just a magnetised rod being rolled up into a coil.
The second problem was that the large magnetic rings would not accelerate the ship. The reason is that the ship and the magnetic ring would attract each other, but would do so from both sides of the ring, meaning that all the speed the ship gained as it got closer would be taken away when the ship got farther (because as the ship would be leaving the ring, it would be pulled backwards). The concept is not completely wrong, if you were to turn off the rings as the ship passed through the center it would speed the ship up and not slow it down after, this is how coilguns work.
The part inside the black-hole was not very physical either, but nobody currently knows what actually is happening inside a black hole, so for all we know the video might've been accidentally spot on xD
My head cannon is that this is where Orange learned to draw in 3D space. He's basically drawing those strings and using them to create the things.

Physicists: "There is no air in space."
TSC: *And I took that personally.*
Well, technically, there are some virtual particles that exist for very brief splits of time and some rogue particles or even atoms, but yeah, certainly not enough to provide even the slightest amount of reaction force when acted upon.
Technically, physics IS still in effect. Cartoon physics, that is.
That and TSC is a stick figure with no lungs or need to breathe unless minecraft water is involved

I recognized a lot of this one! Less in the specifics, but I recognized many concepts and the various forces an elements at play as they happened. Having visuals to reference or compare as the various forces were brought up on screen helped keep them straight a lot more easily than trying to read a textbook honestly, learning about motion from purely static images isn't always the easiest reference point. I especially loved the light waves and doppler effects, as those play a bit into my daily life even in art and other things.
I am loving this Animation vs Education *so much*! If you guys want to have a go at any of the other stem/steam fields, I would happily watch and learn from those as well. Wonderful work to the entire team involved!

Watching the black hole section made me feel like I was having an existential crisis while watching the heat death of the universe. I loved it!.
Also, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that these Animation vs. side stories may be happening in TSC's mind to help him unlock his true powers. Cause like, if so that'd be cool as heck
I was actually thinking that too!
he went to the math universe prob in ava 6 ep 1, when he was paused, inside his mind maybe, and physics is made out of math, but chemistry is made out of physics, so there is a small chance the next episode will be Animation vs chemistry
Aah - so thats what that was - approching C and watching the universe age ever more rapidly, it makes sense. I assumed it was just red-shifted light.
I love DJ’s headcannon of TSC just having super trippy and scientifically accurate dreams.
I used to dream of this
Gotta love how Oranges first instinct when he sees the black hole is to go inside it.

He entered because of the "Singularity"
He sacrificed himself for science, or he’s a scientist who loves exploring

Animation vs. Education is really interesting! Since you asked, what about one of these on how a computer works? Coding, binary, movement of electrons through computer components, or AI self leaning? Might be breaking the 4th wall with that last one. I don't know much about these things myself, but seeing The Second Coming learn about how he and his friends work would be really cool!
Thanks for making these, I am learning a surprising amount from them.
Schools MUST implement a curriculum where they could show children such videos that can help inspiring children or turn someone into loving the subjects. Schools and education in general can be rough and these are the best videos that can be showed to children as they're both Educational and entertaining. An "Edutainment", if I say.

The only problem was with the ring magnets part, imo. They would accelerate you towards themselves regardless of which side you are on, so the acceleration on the approach would be the same as deceleration after you flew by, so the resulting speed would be the same. The only way to accelerate with an external magnet would be if you somehow turned it off after you flew past it, with the most efficiency achieved if that happens at the exact moment you flew past its center.
Well, it would be happen if he wouldn't be in the space, because the deceleration is by the air's resistance and its terminal velocity. Without any force that go to the another direction, the object cant stop. Its one of the Newton's laws
@@yingyang8104 deceleration isn't solely due to air resistance. At least, not in this case. The magnetic pull pulls you towards the middle regardless of the side you're on, so you get faster and faster until you reach the middle, and slower and slower after that point, since it's pulling you regardless
@@themustardman219 Ok, so how you can explain me the Railgun, because these rings form a Railgun, if Im not wrong
Or a particle accelerator too
The ship itself was magnetically enhanced, the front was blue and the back was red, surprisingly when it attracted the front was red and the back was blue, therefore the pull was equal and the fact he speed us was due to the original velocity it should've been the same speed as the original velocity which was his speed just after the sun he passed
7:00 to answer your question, what you feel during hard turns is simply your inertia (aka momentum) wanting to keep going forward, but the acceleration is in a different direction, so it isn’t dependent upon gravity. concepts for simulated gravity in space rely upon this principle to simulate a gravitational pull.
Yes! Animation vs Education DEFINITELY needs to continue! I don't have any idea what the next episode could be, because your animators are WAYYY smarter than me, but definitely keep it going!
I have an idea for one, but I feel like it might not be enough for its own episode. There is this one game that released recently called "Chants of Sennarr" and it is one of those games where the people *in* the game speak a different language than you, so your goal is to figure out what they are saying using context clues, then see if that knowledge can get you further into different zones where the people there speak a different language using a different ruleset for plurals, word order and such.
So basically, Animation vs Language could be about how different countries portray their thoughts, such as word order or how the same symbol can represent different things.

8:08 those magnets wouldn't work as slingshots. They would accelerate him in, yes, but the magnets would also decelerate him out equally. If this wasn't the case, infinite energy would be trivial with these magnets.
That's why they magnetized the rod, and built this coil around the rocket. The magnets actually accelerate the rocket constantly, while going in "and" while going out. It's not infinite energy, though, because this is a one time use setup, as the magnets would also experience acceleration in the opposite direction.
Also the momentum bit on the super slippery surface would not work either xD
@@TheMagneticDude I thought that too, but it wasn't frictionless. It had a mu of 0.1, so it would work, just not as well as he showed. Although this would ruin his examples on how a frictionless surface works
@@RayvenGuard a magnet going through another magnet does not experience a constant acceleration, but rather acceleration that increases the closer he gets. Also, you might have heard this before, but opposites attract. Once he passed the midpoint, the big magnet and his magnets closest poles were still opposite, so he would experience an attraction towards the bug magnet. Unless he actually put energy into rotating himself so two equal faces pointed towards each other, he would not gain any more speed.
Your understanding of how magnets work still allow for infinite energy. We just need to restrict his movement into a circle with a pole and an anchor and fasten the big magnet to a stator. The big magnet would just apply a rotational force to the earth while giving velocity to the rotor.
Again, assuming your understanding of magnets are correct, creating a gun for a battleship would just be a bunch of cylindrical magnets in series. The reason we don't see this is because you have misunderstood magnets.
I don't understand any of the replies
Since this might be a series, I would love an April Fool’s episode of “Animation vs English.” Where TSC tries to learn English, but can’t due to the animation not speaking.

Gotta love the slight differences between this video, and the release version of Animation Vs Physics.
So far, the only minor difference I caught was, the kinetic and potential energy being replaced by Energy In, and Energy Out. Will update more later.
I caught the lack of Outside Perspective and Inside Perspective when Orange was approaching the black hole.
This might be a pre-release draft without the final edits
I caught the lack of footstep particles when the two TSCs were walking toward the cylinder thing.
when tsc was approaching the singularity it said 10^-30m instead of the actual number itself
The fact that this also touches upon biology briefly when the apple suddenly gets big and then falls apart.
Congratulations on reaching new heights, DJ extraordinaire! Your dedication, creativity, and passion shine through every video, inspiring countless viewers. Here's to the journey ahead - may it be filled with even more success, growth, and endless possibilities. Keep shining bright! 🌟
Animation vs Biology is an easy next step, if you arent already working on it! Start at basically animo acids/base molecules for building DNA, go all the way up to multicellular organisms. Maybe its prequel is Animation vs Chemistry?
Animation vs Language could be super interesting, but maybe hard without VO? Could be an ethereal “outside” voice that dictates as he builds sounds, words, and phrases.
Super meta for this channel would be Animation vs Animation (History) where he went through the historical progression of old school photo based animation (like in nickalodeons) all the way up to motion capture 3D graphics or something…
Ahh so many ideas, I’d love to be a fly on the wall for storyboarding some of these!
I'd love it if all this alternate universes came together in Animation VS Animator. Orange has been learning a lot, making friends along the way, maybe some of those friends come to aid the gang in their time of need. Orange king, Cubert, that little maths entity etc.
Animation vs Grammar would be fun too, as I was an English major and students butchering sentence structure is a pet peeve of mine

This was so much fun to watch and try to remember all the concepts from physics classes and Kurzgesagt videos! Beautifully done, especially the space scenes, oh my gosh...
This should be a mobile game what say?
this will help many people understand and get interested in physics, and serve as a good review for physics students and engineers. totally adding this to my physics review sessions
3:25 I noticed that this is different, maybe this is the semi-final video! Awesome work!
1:55 Alan trying to not spoil dj
"who knows" 😬
I would love seeing an animation vs chemistry video. With all the different reactions there’s a lot you could do
I think the engine you're thinking of is an Ion based one, it has increadibly low acceleration but last for a long time. It creates thrust by accelerating Ions using electricity.
You know it’s gonna be good when he enters a literal black hole halfway through the video
A two super fun ideas to wrap up STEM (science being the Animation vs Physics and math is obvious) would be to do Animation vs Technology, where orange goes through technological development across history, and Animation vs Engineering, were orange explores the different disciplines of engineering like chemical or electrical.
Even though you probably can't understand any of the actual math Orange gives you some kind of hint to what's going on, but as always you stop learning halfway through and just focus on the cool alternate version plot
Man! What the heck, Alan!! This universe is astounding!!! I love how everything worked out. And if he did get stuck at any point, his previous self would just send something else new to help him out. Neat!
Sidenote: You've got the audience trained, too. With the second Second Coming coming towards the Second Coming after first arriving at the wormhole singularity, that little high-pitched violin ambiance started to get me worried... you little... good job.
I feel like this was a great episode of animation vs education. I feel like there should be an Animation Vs Biology, or something similar. But that may be me, as i’m interested in that a bit. I hope this animation makes people want to learn physics, and similar things.
If you keep doing these, engineering could be a cool subject to cover next. You could start with the 6 simple machines like lever, pulley, etc. then go into technological advancements like the watermill and the combustion engine, and towards the end show off theoretical ideas like the dyson sphere
I think these educational "Animation vs" videos are happening in TSC's mind while he's imprisoned in AVA 6

I also found this one more comprehensive than the maths version, and that's despite the fact that I studied maths. This one visualizes the laws better, while the maths video pays more attention to cool visual effects, from what I can tell. I'm not criticizing them for that, though, since maths is simply more abstract than physics. Trying to explain what's happening purely through visuals would probably make the maths video far less entertaining.

7:08 Obviously. Gravity isn't a force, it's a consequence of spacetime curvature. You'd definitely feel the inertia crush your body from a sudden change of direction at that speed 💀. Even just 9g is enough to make a pilot unconscious and they're moving at 2000mph max (a little under that for the SR-71 iirc).
Animation vs Chemistry ❤
5:23 DJ, I'm not sure which one you're referring to, but there's 2 options for near speed-of-light travel: Solar Sail and Ion Thruster. Both are about equally as slow and can't be used to escape gravity, because they're both relying on minuscule increases to momentum, but with infinite time, both will reach near light-speed.

I absolutely loved this physics one! Ngl, I don't really prefer math😂, so in that episode I was mostly paying attention to the storyline other than anything else, because what I love is focusing on these amazing storylines Alan and his crew come up with, and honestly the "show don't tell" in these videos is amazing.
I feel like the story in this one was put in the back a tiny bit but this time I don't mind personally, because I loved the physics side of it. (I love physics, I know weird, because I don't like math lol). But I would LOVE to see a chemistry one.
Love how educational this new series is too
To DJ, you're brain, can calculate it, but the way it interacts with the parts is what stumps us
A little point, at 4:17 where Gravity becomes zero. That's not really Gravity that becomes zero, Gravity can never become zero, since the mass of the planet is still accelerating towards you! Or in other words, you always feel the force of Gravity no matter how far away from a mass you are! :P
Add this to the lore: TSC saw himself shooting the laser, and now is trying to figure out how he did it.
