The Mid-Norfolk Railway Summer Steam Gala 2024 | 29-30th June 2024

Back again at my newly become favourite heritage railway in the UK, the Mid-Norfolk Railway held their first Steam Gala since 2019 now with the railway being able to operate to Wymondham again.
This years steam gala was a great one as the railway operated north of Dereham to Northall Green and south of Wymondham Abbey to the boundary both on multiple occasions.
The gala would see the usual home locomotive BR 4MT 80078 get greeting with two guests in the form of Southern Bullied Pacific 34072 '257 Squadron' from the Spa Valley Railway (recently coming from Swanage Railway's Strictly Bullied 2) and GWR Large Prairie 4144 from the Didcot Railway Centre. Two contrasting visiting steam locomotives running throughout the Mid Norfolk countryside.
34072 was having some problems with having constant fill ups with water at both ends of the line and at one point completely running out of water but that didn't stop the crews and the loco ran perfect throughout the gala.
This video has two parts within just this one video, the first half being lineside shots from both days and the second half is behind the locos during the Saturday/Day 2.

Very good video, looked a fab event and some impressive well turned out rolling stock alongside the locos!
